Winter Clean & Simple Design Team Search All Wrapped Up for the Season
To enter the competition for this Clean & Simple DT search, make a CAS card following the instructions posted on Friday evening at about 8:00 PM EST. And then post in this thread with a link to your card.
Who can play for a DT spot? Anyone except store owners and past CAS DT members. (But you can play just for the fun of a challenge. )
Holiday Ball: DT and Guest DT Reveal Party
Thursday, Dec 1 starting @ 8PM EST
Standard Expectations for a DT member: I need you to post your sample for each challenge on Sunday evening between 10PM-11PM EDT. You may miss 1 or 2 weeks do to illness or emergencies. You will be participating in choosing the challenges for the season during your 2nd week as a DT member. When the season is ending and a new DT search is going on, I would like you to help with the judging, especially in the final round.
CAS Winter Design Team Schedule (December 2011 - February 2012)
In addition to the three new DT members, there will be a guest designer each week. If you would like only to be considered as a guest designer, please let us know on the thread and/or in the comment section of your card when uploading.

CHALLENGE #1: Ways to Use It (Two requirements)
I love the beauty of wrapped presents. I love the paper and the ribbon & bows! The challenge is to make a CAS card with ribbon and designer paper.
Keyword: CAS2011winterDT1
(No spaces CAS 2011 winter DT 1 -- not good. If you are concerned about getting it right, copy & paste it into your keyword box.)
By adding just CAS in your keyword box, you will be in 2 galleries. Separate all keywords by a comma followed by a space.
Please also post a link in this thread just in case there is an error with the keyword or if the gallery is being finicky on the judging days.

Please don't combine this challenge with any other current SCS challenge.
Please make only one card. (It's easier to narrow down the field this way.)
32 stampers submitted cards for the design team (& guest design team) search. I LOVED the cards. It was so exciting to see such a beautiful gallery. Please understand that if you didn't make it to the semi-finals, you are still eligible for a guest designer spot. So don't forget to come back on reveal night!

I for one am VERY EXCITED!!!!! I am keeping my fingers crossed that our satellite connection does not get interrupted with all the rain and wind we have been having the last couple of days. Our connection has been off and on.......just have to be patient.

OK CAS Stampers..........we need to start some CHATTER :razz: The FUN begins in about 7 hours with Jen's 1st CAS challenge for the Winter DT Search. Remember, even if you can not commit to 3 months you can ask to be a Guest Designer.
The challenges are so fun and you end up with great CAS cards for your stash and TONS of inspiration from all the wonderful CAS samples. Let's make Jen's time and dedication worth her while. Happy Stamping and Good Luck to you all.

Melina, I was not a Fan Club member (but will be for Christmas). Please don't let that stop you.
OMG Jen, what a fabulous challenge ( post #2) and your sample card is GORGEOUS....Bright and Beautiful. I will be playing soon, but may have to upload tomorrow as I like natural light photo's. I can't wait to see the other samples. Thanks again Jen for hosting :-)
For those who are saying they are going away for the weekend, unless you're leaving Monday night and not returning until the following Wednesday, you should be able to have time to do the 2nd & 3rd challenges.

Whoo Hoo......My 1st round CAS challenge is done, but I am not pleased with my photo's as they do not show the true colors so.......I will take photo's tomorrow and upload. It can be challenging this time of year to take a true color photo, but with natural light it works well.
Night all.......can't wait to wake up to more examples of a really fun challenge.
I think I may try this one - sounds fun. I am trying to lean more toward CAS cards so this will help inspire me. Can this event handle more than one Nancy? LOL!

Yeah, I think there was only one week when I had to wait until morning for a card to be approved. I think we may have had a fairy godmother/moderator. I think it happened one other season, too, for a DT member. We'll make things work.

It has been ages since I've been able to try out for this DT (I didn't want to try out if I couldn't commit the time). I think my schedule has finally calmed down. I can't wait to give it another try! I'm glad this is the first place I came when my Saturday stamping time came around
