MMTPT172 ~ THERE WERE TWO SIX YEAR OLD BOYS! WHO HAD A PLAN FOR SOME TOYS!
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #171
There were 2 six year old boys!
Who had a plan for some toys!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
There were 2 six year old boys
Who had a plan for some toys.
Line up cars in a row
An Automobile Domino!
Their little buddy Stan.
Came up with a plan.
Line em up down the street
At least 42,000 feet!
When we get to the mall.
Knock one over, they'll fall!
We've run out of cars!
Said their big buddy Lars.
Oh my goodness, who knew?
Now what should we do?
No more cars? Aww, shucks!
How about busses and trucks?
Oh yeah, make that call!
That'll get us to the mall!
And soon they'll go down.
We'll be the talk of the town!
Geeze, don't these kids know how far it is to the mall? All the trucks, cars and busses in the neighborhood have been used up and they are still a little short! Bring trucks, bring cars, bring busses! You get extra cookies if you bring two!
CHALLENGE TRANSLATION:
Make two cards appropriate for two six year old boys. Make your cards with trucks, cars or busses! You can add balloons, streamers or confetti as there's gonna be a big celebration when they get to the mall!
DESTINATION STATION:
This week our destination is Bellingham, WA. If you would like a destination for your cards this week, how about sending them to Will and Nate Renz, the twin sons of Katie Renz who recently lost her battle with cancer. Charlene (cookiebaker) brought to my attention that Will and Nate will be celebrating their 6th birthday on November 19th. This will be their first birthday without their mom to make it special. Showering the boys with hand made birthday cards will give them a little something to look forward to at the mail box.
For more information including Will and Nate's address go to Post #258 in the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is totally 100% voluntary!
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT172 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given me permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Friday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send me a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges. Feel free to grab this I survived Teapot Tuesday Badge for your blog!
Loved your tea pot this week, Cindy. How sad for 2 young boys to lose their mother so early in their life. Touches my heart. Hope our cards can make their birthday a little more fun....opening all the envelopes. I sent mine separately so each would have their own...although the cards are the same.
I'm sure that after seeing all the cards their mother received during her illness that these boys will feel the love in the cards they get from everyone. Here are my cards. Driving By
A little bit of help please: I don't have kids - can someone reply and let me know if you're just writing birthday greetings in the cards or how are you handling? TIA
What a fabulous destination! The Renz family has been in my thoughts and prayers so much recently and I hope the boys' feel the love from the stamping community with this challenge! Thanks, Cindy! MY CARD

Mine went postal today, but I'm sure they'll be late. What can you expect if Snoopy and Woodstock have to make it all the way from France!
I sent them in individual envelopes inside a larger one. I'm still having problems with some post just never arriving :-(, and I reckoned that although one each would have be more fun, it would have been worse if only one arrived.
I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their cards and for remembering Will and Nate. Today is Kevin's (Katie's husband) birthday and it's been just over a week since Katie's passing. The family is still reeling from their loss but I know they love the cards.
I coordinated the original Swimming for Katie fundraiser and blog hop, and those items are still available for sale if you're interested and the donation link is still live.
My cards for this challenge will be on my blog tomorrow morning.
Thanks again for helping to bring some comfort and joy to Katie's precious family. I miss her so much but I know she is smiling down on us and appreciates all we're doing to help her little ones.

So, thank you.
Thank you very much for the kind words Kate. It is wonderful that Katie and her family had such a good friend in you, your efforts through your fund raiser I am sure were very much appreciated and touching. Katie is in a better place, no longer suffering, not an easy thing for a family, but I am sure it comforts them....
......Can't wait to see your cards tommorrow....thanks for giving us a heads up! Hugs....
