~TLC349 Telescoping Image (10/31/11)~
Hello Stampers!
Happy Halloween!! Is it me, or does it seem as if we skipped over Fall and landed squarely in Winter? We had a nasty snow storm blow through here last Wednesday (12+" for most, more for others!) and we're expected to have two more similar storms this week! The leaves had not even fallen off our trees yet.
~ Telescoping images ~
Ok, so this week we are doing telescoping images. Not to be confused with Joan's telescoping card challenge of a few weeks back! The idea is to stack your image so that it appears to be coming out of the card. This can be achieved by using nestabilities or by simply cutting your layers smaller and smaller.
For my card (see below), I stamped my image only twice but used 4 different sized nesties. I cut the first (largest), then cut the third layer from the center of the first. I then cut the second layer and then cut my smallest layer from the center of that.
Here is my sample (gallery):

Ah - I think that's what is called Pyramage (as in pyramids/decoupage) over here. It's quite big in the UK
.
Holiday day for us and I have some stuff to do with DH, but I hope to get to this later on.

Ha! I'm so proud of myself! I went to look at your beautiful card without reading the rest of your explanation, and figured out how you did four layers with two stamped images all by myself, then came back and finished reading to discover that I was right! FABULOUS way to accomplish a great look efficiently and with no waste! I hope I find some time today to try this!

Now that mine is done, I went back and saw the directions. I'm always a day late and a dollar short! LOL! It would have been nice to read first! DUH!
