This weeks Inspiration Challenge site Handscapes Galery was suggested by Gail MacFadden. Gail says My dsil and brother live in a very small place on the outer banks of NC; Beaufort is the nearest "town" to them. They both love the things from Handscapes, and I decided to look it up and see if there was a website. Sure enough, there is! They have a wide variety of items by various artists. Thought maybe this would make a good inspiration site for one saturday!
Featuring Fine Arts and Crafts, Handscapes Gallery is located on the waterfront in historic Beaufort, NC. The Gallery promotes American traditions in pottery, jewelry and glasswork with an emphasis on North Carolina artists. Over 200 artists are represented in a full range of work from the traditional to the contemporary in pottery, glass, jewelry, metal, wood and other media.
Remember, out of respect for the creative originality of these talented artisans, please do not print out photos of the items to use directly on your project or copy a piece exactly.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, Ive uploaded five of my favorites so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. The rest of you, remember to let us know which item from Handscapes Gallery that inspired you.
Use the keyword: IC306 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.
Gail and Stef, thanks for the fantastic site for today's challenge. I was hoping to find something that would combine well with Cindy's MMTPT Challenge for this week. I've been away and am trying to catch up on household chores, so it was helpful to make a card that fit both challenges. Your site offered that opportunity. Thanks.

Your photo cards are fabulous Stef..how I wish I could take shots like those! I haven't browsed the site yet because as soon as I saw the samples I had to go make my seahorse card. Took me only 15 minutes so now I get to browse the site and leave some love in the gallery. Thanks for another great challenge. What a lovely site Steph! lot's of things I'd like to buy! I actually have one of those little clay cardinals - they sell them here in MA at the Bird store we get our seed at! Now I know where it came from!
