Can you believe this is our 3rd year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 & 2010 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2011! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2011! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for February. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for this month, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2011 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
(Pssst...in case you're interested in the "history", here's the thread that started it all 4 years ago...
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc11oct"

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want some goals or resolutions to use more of what we have. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )
You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play
I will post our Scrap Budgets here...let's see if we can band together and encourage everybody to keep on goal

Can't believe that it is already October. The last half of September was crazy for me at work so hopefully tomorrow I can browse through the October gallery and see everyone's creations!
The next 2 weeks are going to be busy for me at work so I am going to leave my goal at 6 for October. Happy scrapping!

Yes! October! Can you believe it! I completed 20 pages last month, thanks to VSBN.
And not only that, but I have one complete album!
So I have completed 96 pages of my 100 goal for 2011. Now, I think I will slow down, as I have Christmas projects to do. So, I will set this month's goal back to 5.
Thanks to all of you for helping me getting this many pages done this year. I Would have never done it without all your encouraging comments and just the fact that we are all doing it together!
WOW, October already? CRAZINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, so September did not yield anything for me...BUT, I have Christmas scrapbooks to do SO set my goal at 24 for the month, please! THANKS!

Good luck! It will be so much fun to see what you come up with (especially with such a cute subject ;))
I'm going to set my goal for 6 since that's what I need to complete the ABC Album...not sure if I can get it all done today though. Once I complete the album I will have my goal for the year!
Well...I've got a few cards to finish up for a Fall Swap I joined (what was I thinking?!) and then I'm looking forward to scrapping this afternoon. DH is watching the Nascar Race and DS has a job interview. I too have some partial pages started from VSBN I'd like to get caught up on.
Goals... hmmm ... Sept VSBN was very helpful for getting pages done! I think I'll try for 20 again this month  I need more to meet annual goal but it appears that every weekend in October we have something goin?

Never did link the pages I did for the ABC Album. Just got another DPS done but I don't think I'm gonna have the last 2 challenges done before the deadline tonight.
Oh me! I need, need, need to get my 2008 album done! I'm so having a hard time remembering what happened in each pic....or why I took it! UGH! I've got to catch up! I do remember when I was only 6 months behind on scrapping.......*sigh*
I can't wait to send these to Persnickety and have them bound into a book!
You are going to love it when you get it! I know you will! It is a fabulous album and you have done a great job. So glad you were able to get it all done. I remember feeling all scrapped out when I got done, too. Just give it a couple of days.
Sharon

Where there's a will, there's a way, Patti. Just be careful on those stairs--you don't need to break your other leg!
For those of you didn't catch Patti's story in the Sept. thread...
Well Wendy we had a wonderful 3 days. The rain held off until the 2nd day and only lasted for the morning. We didn't let the rain stop us and we went exploring anyway. For 2 days we walked just about every trail on the island. It is so beautiful once you get off the beaten path. It was the most relaxing few days I have had in a long time. Then came the morning we were leaving to come back to the main land and lets just say it all fell apart. We had just finished breakfast and we were going to take one last walk before going to the docks. We had walked about 20 feet and my right leg just seemed to disappear it was as if I had only one leg and of course I hit the ground. Let me tell you concrete is very very hard and it does not give way! I am now sporting a beautiful air cast on my right leg and walking with a walker. My left arm is all bruised and very sore. not such a good ending to what was a wonderful vacation. I did get some great pics and can't wait to scrap them. Now I just need to figure out a way to get into my scrap room as it is on the lower level of our house. lol have to laugh or I will never stop frowning...LOL

Oh Patti! I've had a couple of those trip-n-fall moments and they sure seem ALOT worse at this point in life than when we were young. Ugh! I hope your leg is healing quickly

I started out well last month but ran out of photos and steam. Ended up with only 6 layouts out of my planned 20, but it seems to be par for the course. I am doing a LOAD (Layout a Day) this month, so please set my goal for 31 layouts. I made several layouts at a scrapbook retreat this weekend, but unfortunately I also had to complete a set of 32 cards that my mom asked me to make, so it cut into my scrapping time. On the bright side, the cards are completed and ready to mail, so I can focus on scrapbooking for the rest of the month.
I'm going to join in. It is my goal to complete 10 pages each month in October, November, and December. This is in addition to my 50 Christmas cards.
Three of October's pages will be the last three of my ABC Album from the VSBN the other week ;)
I just re-organized and set up my crafty corner in the family room, so I have a fresh new space to sit and create in my boys' company while they watch hockey and crazy scary movies (thank goodness for iPods, LOL).

October....yikes! I am being optimistic and shooting for 20 pages this month too. Of course that won't happen if I get the job I just applied for, double YIKES. It would be working at a local elem school while my kids are at school (but of course there were no openings at their school...) I'm not sure which I'm hoping for more....to get the job and have the much-needed money or stay home and keep doing everything I'm already doing....
On that note, and I'm sure this is not the place to ask but this is about all I do on Splitcoast..... can we sell cards that use sketches we find online? Many blogs, including mine, ask that people not use our creativity for profit. Do sketches count? I really don't know...!
Well, thanks!

Jumping in with Cheryl to see if I can get 31 layouts done. That should be between 31 and 62 ;) pages. I'm not going to post them all, because some have school class pics, but I've done 2 1/2 layouts today and have planned out quite a few more. Praying that the cold that's trying to take residence in my head moves on out.

I remember FREAKING OUT when I got to 6m behind.....when I had a film camera I had the roll scrapped the same week I developed it. Digital film makes me take waaaaaaaaaaaay more photos than that coudl ever be possible. I am collectively more than 10 years behind, which astounds and frightens me.
GOOD LUCK!

While I have been sitting with my leg elevated all week I have watched more TV than I normally would in a years time. lol I have watched several cooking shows and one has stuck in my mind all week. It was for blue-berry pancakes. They looked so yummy! So the only think I can think of right now is making a big stack of them when I can stand and cook again.
Which brings me to the challenge...another easy peasy one.
The stack of pancakes...use 3 pictures
The colors...use blues and browns
The embellies....use round embellies
Thats it!
I dont have a sample page as I have not tried to go down to my room yet. Will try it after my doctors appt on Friday.
I am so sorry Patti for your leg troubles! I hope when you go to the Dr. all will be as it should be. So, sending prayers and hugs. Can't believe you are still preparing challenges for us! Thank you!
What you said about watching the cooking shows reminds me of when i had foot surgery several years ago. I watched a lot of cooking shows! LOL I will try to do this challenge! Looks good!
Patti....so sorry to hear about your accident! Here's praying for a speedy recovery...take things easy and REST!
I've just ordered my photo book for my ABC Album. Shutterfly was offering a 30% off promo which expires tonight and I had another $5 given me for being a member for a year now so I thought I'd take advantage of it. I should have the book within the next 2 weeks...can't wait! If it looks good, I'll order some for Christmas presents I think! I have another $20 gift certificate that I just got when I ordered school pics for DGS that I'll be able to use.

I know it is going to be great, and everyone will want one for Christmas!
Such a fantastic gift. My family will just have to be happy to go thru mine since it isn't digital!
Thanks Sharon. I saw on my one page that a K_Leaman had left a remark. My DD finally created a user name on SCS. I've been trying to get her to do that for a long time now and she's actually starting to scrap so maybe she'll get more active. My DGD is 5 and DD is homeschooling for at least this year. They are going to be doing some scrap pages for her Art requirements...it'll be interesting to hear how they do together I did send them a boxful of goodies that I don't seem to ever get around to using to start them out.
