Know it well! I graduated from Aldine High School a hundred years ago! My son lives in Friendswood, but works on I-10 at Gessner. Nasty commute.
There are some beautiful mountains in Texas, but you have to drive a loooong way to get to them. The Davis Mountains in West Texas and the Chisos Mountains at Big Bend. That is a trip worth making if you've never been. Just don't go in July!!! Terilingua, the home of the famous Terilingua Chili Cook Off, is just out the back door of Big Bend National Park.
