TLC344 ~ Cover Chipboard With Pattern Paper ~ (9/26/11)
Hello everyone...it's my turn to host tonight's challenge.....I love to use chipboard and what better way to decorate it than to cover it with patterned paper...easy peasy challenge this week!!
This is how I cover chipboard:
1. First, I lay the chipboard piece on the pattern paper and draw around the shape and then cut it out.
2. I like to use a glue stick to adhere the paper to the chipboard but you can use any type of glue you want.
3. You can use any type of sander to smooth out the edges....I use an emery board to sand the edges. I have a real small, skinny one for the small curves edges...works great!!
Oh Joan what a super idea! I usually shy away from chipboard....but I have a ton of it for some reason! I will get to work on this project tomorrow...just got home from work a bit ago and I need some sleep! Great challenge! Thanks!

Hmm, I really have to buckle down to some housework after work, but I'm trying to use up some Basic Grey chipboard so I'll do my best to play along later. IF my desktop has recovered from the hissy fit it was throwing last night, and doesn't take all my time getting it running properly again, sigh....
Fun challenge, Joan. I've never purchased any chipboard, but I do have some PTI coasters that I hope will qualify. I am able to cut them with my dies. Thanks for another fun Monday.
For this Challenge, I took a shell shape from Impressions and covered it with purple paper. I then stamped the purple paper with white, then bright blue and light green ink with Inkadinkado's Shell Trio clear stamps. The background is a collage sheet - an old map.I added a button image from Stampin' Up's Button, Button and a bit of beading and ribbon. I'm determined to use up all of my Merry Medley chipboard pieces before SU's catalog expires 6/30, so here's my card for this great challenge. Butterfly Friend
