Title: ABC/123 VSBN: Letters K / L Hostess: Lela (scs: LMN) Keyword: Fall11VSBN6 Day/Date: Friday, September 23, 2011 Time: 8:00 PM EST
Welcome to our Fall VSBN Academy. During your time here you will work on your personal ABC Album, the Subject is yours to choose. Each Academy Teacher will share with you what Subject they chose. You are to work on the Letters that they share with you. However, you do not need to use their word (unless you want too). The challenge will be their 1-2-3 steps below. Enjoy and be sure to share your page here and to use the correct keyword. Read the rules below your Teacher's challenge to be sure to get included for any Award or Recognition.
I've done very few Mini-Albums previously but I do hope to complete one soon! My Mini-(A-B-C) Album is going to be a Christmas Gift for my Mom! We just recently had our first Family Reunion for her side of the family. It took me alot of prodding to get her Brothers to agree to get together but I know they had a great time and are glad we did. I even had a professional photographer come and take pictures because I wanted to be sure we got some good ones but I got some great shots as well (haha!).
My CHALLENGE to you is for K & L
--- Here's your choice ---
(1) you can do 2 separate pages and use the K & L Challenges separately
(2) do a 2 page layout and select (3) items from the (2) lists below

(2) Knots-- Make sure to have a knot or 2 of ribbon, fiber or twine on your page
(3) Kindergarten -- Remember that old saying, "All I Really Need to Know, I learned in Kindergarten". It's HERE. Pick one of the phrases from the list and use it as Inspiration on your page.

Here is the GALLERY for this challenge...leave a little luv for everyone!
UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. To be considered for VSBN Recognition, ALL CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON Sunday, October 2, 2011 using the correct Keyword. Each letter can be represented as an upload either individuall or as a double page spread.
2. You have a totall 2 working hours to complete the challenge (the concept is you can complete 1 page for each letter represented using the challenge as a guide). For contest purposes, 1 'Letter' per participant per challenge will be eligible to earn award/recognition. For example: if you complete 2+ 'A' indivdual pages for this challenge, and upload each of them to the gallery you can only win one award/recognition for only one of your pages; other 'A' pages are part of the gallery to share but cannot win any award/recognition. If you upload a double page spread for 1 Letter as one upload, it will be considered one upload; please do not upload the pages individually or they will not be considered a double page spread.
3. It is the VSBN Challenge Host's decision to award/recognize pages that best represent her challenge based on the criteria in the challenge. Please be sure to write your description of how you interpreted his/her challenge in your Upload Description.
4. Please remember to put in the correct KEYWORD:
Fall11VSBN6when uploading your image; a wrong keyword means your submission may not be seen for consideration. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure you layout is seen by the host and all visitors.

Hi Lela! I had never done one either. What a great idea doing one as a gift for your MOM.
I am just doing one for me! LOL It is my grandchildren, so I am the one that will love it.
I think they will have fun looking at it when they come at Christmas.
This is a great challenge! I like that we do two different ones!
See you later.

Well. I've been trying to find an element with a knot in it but no luck so far in the kit I've been using and DGS is really getting on my nerves since DH went to bed at 8. So I guess I'll have to give in and go put him to bed otherwise he'll be up until after 10 and miserable tomorrow. Since they aren't going to the carshow in MD, they will be selling popcorn with the cub scouts from 11-1...BRB
I'm back. It's amazing how quickly he falls off to sleep once he's in bed...it's the getting into bed part that takes the longest amount of time!
If you really want some popcorn and you don't find someone selling it at a storefront, let me know. They do sell it online now and you can get it delivered right to you. I'm not sure when this option started but they did have it last year as well.
Now...back to searching for a ribbon with a knot in it....
the song lyrics don't have to start with "L" ... I used "Don't Worry! Be Happy!" LOL! or you can use "lettering"?
The lyrics I came up ended up being perfect, because my son, grandkids uncle, loves all the Winnie the Pooh stuff, and it does describe the gks perfectly too. LOL

Keeping in mind that Aussies/Kiwis call candy lollies - lolly cake is an evil kid style cake of soft candy chopped up and mixed with crushed malt biscuits (cookies) and condensed milk. Straight to the hips material!

My page will explain soon.
Just reading the description makes me feel like I'm gaining weight, LOL! Can't wait to see your page
