TLC340 ~ Embossed Kisses ~ (8/29/11)
Hello everyone...it's my turn to host today's TLC and this weeks challenge has come to us from the very talented
Susan Roberts ...it's called
Embossed Kisses !!! She created a
tutorial for this technique on her blog...check it out !!
Here are the deets:
1. Ink up a solid stamp ( no lines or designs allowed) such as a heart, bird, pumpkin....anything will do as long as it's solid.
2. Ink up the popped out side of an embossing folder
3. Stamp the solid stamp on the embossing folder to create a "kiss" on the solid stamp
4. Stamp on cardstock.
5. One variation would be to stamp your inked up solid stamp on the popped out side of the embossing folder that has no ink...you will get a light color to the design when you stamp on paper.
6. You can even mist the embossing folder with water for a watercolor look.
7. Have fun!!!
Edit: Bev (Maxell) came up with a way to join in the challenge even though she didn't have any solid stamps. She used a diecut flower and kissed it with the embossing folder....way to go, Bev!!!
Here is Bev's card

Please remember when uploading to include the KEYWORD TLC340 (no spaces).
You can view the entire TLC340 Gallery here
I can't wait to see what you create!!!

What a great technique, Joan. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Love the results....better than kissuing stamp to stamp IMO.

This looks so cool! Love the results I've seen so far. I should have time this afternoon to give this a try. If it works, I think it will be something I would use a lot. Thanks Joan & Susan! BBL

What a fun technique. I especially love it after seeing all the wonderful samples in the gallery. Now I want to go make a card!
I will use this technique. Maybe I'll even get a card made this week!
Thanks so much for sharing this fun technique Joan!

LOVED this challenge! I used a textured plate instead, and the result was a little blurry, but I liked it none-the-less
