Fall 2011 DT Search - Spooky Nights & Fun Delights
I promise, you don't have to like Halloween or have Halloween stamps to participate in these challenges. But I couldn't resist the theme... look at my username!
To enter the competition for this Clean & Simple DT search, make a CAS card following the instructions below. And then post in this thread with a link to your card.
Who can play for a DT spot? Anyone except store owners and past CAS DT members. (But you can play just for the fun of a challenge. ;))
CHALLENGE #1
Photo Inspiration Challenge You can use the colors, images, and/or patterns. There's lots to choose from on this Bewitching Pillow from the Halloweentown Store. (There's also an attachment at the end of this post.) Please tell us what inspired your CAS card in the comments section when uploading. For example, my card was inspired by the witch on the broom and the gingham ribbon. I used different colors and background design.

Standard Expectations for a DT member: I need you to post your sample for each challenge on Sunday evening between 10PM-11PM EDT. You may miss 1 or 2 weeks do to illness or emergencies. You will be participating in choosing the challenges for the season during your 2nd week as a DT member. When the season is ending and a new DT search is going on, I would like you to help with the judging, especially in the final round.
CAS Summer Design Team Schedule (September 2011 - November 2011)
In addition to the three new DT members, there will be a guest designer each week. If you would like only to be considered as a guest designer, please let us know on the thread and/or in the comment section of your card when uploading.

I know skulls and bones have been popular in pop culture, but the best time of year for skeletons and bones is Halloween! And it just so happens it's not just Halloween and the color orange that I like! My favorite TV show is BONES starring David Boreanaz & Emily Deschenel.
For this challenge, I want you to make a CAS card inspired by one of your favorite TV shows. Don't watch many TV shows? What about the news or weather? I'm a weather nerd and love the Weather Channel. LOL! Partly cloudy with a full moon is great for Halloween, isn't it?!

Due to Hurricane Irene, I've had to make an executive decision for the third & final challenge for the finalists because 5 of the 8 semi-finalists are in the path of the storm... AND at this moment, we have 5 of the 8 cards submitted and the deadline isn't until tomorrow night. So, here's what I've decided...
All 8 stampers will move on to be finalists and participate in the final challenge. We will do the judging based on all of your 3 cards (unless it's 2 because you were without power to finish by Tuesday @ 11 PM).
If you are unable to be online Thursday evening for the DT reveal, it will not impact your ability to be on the team. We'll get everything for the fall challenges organized when everyone is back online. Until then, I've got it covered. ;)

Phrase Inspiration Challenge:You've been BOO-ed!
In case you've been missing out, there is a fun and delightful tradition using this expression. On or near Halloween, a person leaves a bag of treats on a person's door (or locker at school ) with the message, "You've been BOO-ed!" Your CAS card does not have to have Halloween treats on it. You can use the phrase in other ways, like being BOO-ed at a ball game. Have fun with it, finalists!

Hurray.....I finally got to upload my CAS2011fallDT1 card. I was inspired by the colors, long narrow shape, gingham, button and diamond shapes. My card took on a mind of its own......and very quickly :p I love the results. Thank you again Jen for inspiring us to be creative with the CAS style. You are the best ;).

OMG Jen, I am sooooo excited to be chosen for the 2nd round. What a talented group of stampers I am amongst. This will be a challenge.....I only watch sports and movies on tv...hmmmmmm. Will have to work on this one :-) Thanks again for letting me play again.

I am *horrible* at picking favorites!! I like so many different shows, and lots of them I don't have stamps that "match" (although, now I'm wondering if I can find a TARDIS stamp online....).
