Hello and welcome to our first Inspiration Challenge! We'll be sharing these each Tuesday. The idea behind this challenge is to get your creative juices flowing! You can choose anything about the inspiration piece that inspires you - the colors, the theme, the textures, the patterns....there is no wrong idea!
I have a fun piece of inspiration for you today....there are so many ways you could go with it! I've pulled out a few colors, for those of you who love to use them as your jumping off point. I've also highlighted a few of the different textures and patterns in the picture, in case you'd rather use those as inspiration. Remember, there is no right or wrong, just be inspired and have fun!
Take a look at this fabulous shower:
Here's how to play along:
Using the picture above (and attached below), make a card, project, altered item, or anything else your mojo inspires you to make. It can be based on the colors, the textures, the theme...anything! Upload your art to the gallery here at SCS, and use the keyword SNSSIC01 (note: you do not have to use a Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps image to play along, but to be considered for the Sweet 'n Sassy Spotlight you do). Feel free to add the link to your gallery upload here in this thread! While there is NO time limit to play along in this challenge, we'll post a new one each Tuesday morning!
This is a great challenge Taylor and I love how you also hi-lighted the textures and patterns on the side. So many options to choose from! I love to try new color combos so, that's probably what I'll go for if I get a chance to play along.
Inspiration challenges are one of my favorites! This picture is full of possibilities. I love the shiny tile in the shower, reminds me of fish scales. I couldn't figure out a way to translate that to my card so I used the flowered tile and beautiful colors. I hope you like it! Elements of Sympathy This is also for Taylor's RP01 challenge.

I LOVE it! Fabulous take on the inspiration photo! TFP!

Well, I'm using the colors in my Sweet Stop sketch sample for Saturday so, I can't share till then. But, when I prepare my blog post I'll attach your inspiration piece and a link to the challenge and maybe you'll get even more participants.
Here is my Faux Tile Wildflowers.
I loved the inspiration piece - the colors and the textures. This took me all day to make - literally - This was my first time that I tried faux tile and I had quite the time with the Crystal Effects - I am so not a technique kind of person but I am trying to challenge myself and grow in that area. Suffice it to say I have challenged myself!!
I hope you like my card.

I loved this inspiration piece so so much! Teal is one of my favorite colors. I was bummed because I don't have any SNSS stamps, but I snuck over to the web store and grabbed a couple of digis .

Same here! (The taking all day thing! LOL) I kept walking away and coming back. Off to see what you made!

Aww, thanks Harriet! I have drooled over Korin's images for some time. I'm glad that I took the plunge today and got a couple digis (though I'm generally not a fan of digis). I can't wait to be able to order some other images/stamps!
Inspiration challenges are generally my favorites because they really allow you so much free interpretation.
How exciting to have SNSS here on SCS, too!!

I feel the SAME way about inspiration challenges - SO much wiggle room! Could be colors, patterns, "feel/mood" - there is no wrong. And those are the kind of rules I can wrap my mind around, lol!
THANKS so much for playing along! Your card (as always) rocks!
Is the prize the shower??? I totally want that shower! HA HA. Will try to play along this weekend, although it is a busy one...I am off to a stamping convention an hour away. Gotta love a convention center full of rubber, paper, and ink!
