MMTPT158 ~ I'M A LITTLE TEAPOT, SHORT AND STOUT! CAN'T FIND MY HANDLE OR MY SPOUT?
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #158
I'M A LITTLE TEAPOT
SHORT AND STOUT
CAN'T FIND MY HANDLE
WHERE IS MY SPOUT?
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
1. Don't you guys be giving me no lip about this not being a teapot! After googling doggie teapots and getting 617,000 pictures of them, I simply could not find a doggie teapot to my liking. Well, actually, I found some awesome doggie teapots but I needed a goldren retriever! And then as fate would have it, up popped this little teapot that seems to have its handle and spout missing! What a bummer to be photographed without them. But you know what its like, sometimes your doggie buddies steal your stuff and its not possible to look in every dog house in the hood! So, you just have to use your imagination and in the meantime, carry on, knowing that later, much later, the word will get out, the spout and handle will be found!
I am a little teapot,
Short and stout
Can't find my handle.
Where is my spout?
If I go out lookin
I'll miss out.
They won't take my photo.
and Zach will just shout!
Quickly take my picture
Zach, don't pout!
I'll be Miss April
There is no doubt!!
2. Meet Holden, The Golden and his buddy Zach. On the days when not much is happening in the hood, they like to venture down on main street and visit a little news stand that is owned by Max, a grumpy old man that smokes a cigar and glares at them from afar. Why you say, do they keeping coming this way? It's cuz Max is married to Charlotte, the sweetest most dog loving woman on main street. It's anybody's guess how she got hooked up with Max! Charlotte longs for a dog, Max smells like a hog! Charlotte is oh so sweet, Max has stinky feet! Charlotte sneaks out the back when Max is busy selling his cigars and magazines and feeds the canine crew of two gourmet doggie treats! Oh, the flavor! Oh, the aroma! Oh, the pleasure of it all!
3. Charlotte doesn't mind coming to work with Max as the shop is filled with Canine Calendars and she loves seeing all of the wonderful, beautiful calendar dogs! She's been trying to talk the canine crew of two into modeling! She has heard that the 2012 Canine Calendar is yet to be published as Miss April, a most beautiful golden retriever, got mauled by some big outa control goose, duck, phesant or bully bird that she was retrieving and missed her photo shoot! She's looking a little rough around the edges of late! Charlotte thinks that another dog could slip in there and impress the judges enough to boot her out and get published! She has decided to bribe the canine crew of two with 42,000 gourmet treats! Holden, Zach, it's 42,000, you goofball mutts, are you nuts? Zach agreed but he's not the right breed! Holden's a Golden, but he's a shy kinda guy! He's still saying no, no, no, no go! Zach's pretty miffed, he feels he's been stiffed! Charlotte said, okay....42,001! Holden said yes, okay, I guess! I'll do it, I will, but everyone knows I don't do bows and I'll only pose with my bone under my nose!
4. So with or without a handle or a spout, Holden is staged and Zach's no longer enraged! The stress is setting in! They have got to win. Forget the handle and spout, that can all be worked out! Call the critters of the hood, their very own judges, that would be good! Calling all dogs, four legged critters, tail waggin canine, cat chasing bow-wows, even mutts and some mongrels, puppies and pooches! I double dawg dare ya, ta bring dogs and dogs, more dogs, even double dogs!
If you bring the other kinda four legged critters, the ones that mee-ooww, you are definately coming in the back door because if the judges take off chasing your critters and you blow this gig for Holden and Zach, no doubt, you'll be at the back!

DESTINATION STATION:
This week's destination is Bronx, New York! If you would like a destination for your card this week, how about sending it to Patrick! The husband of fellow teapotter, Charlene (cookiebaker) works with a woman who's brother is battling cancer. Once again, it's cancer that has him fighting for his life.
For more information about Patrick's condition as well as his address please visit Post #241 in the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is totally 100% voluntary!
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT158 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given me permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Friday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send me a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater! If you dont' want to cheat, I am posting a sneak peak on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it sometimes during the weekend before the next Tuesday!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges. Feel free to grab this I survived Teapot Tuesday Badge for your blog!
Mutt puppy and I will be coming in the back door, Cindy. He's the ONLY dog stamp I have. The digi stamps are great, but they usually don't work to well for me with my puter ink and Copics. I colored him "golden", but I don't think he'll fool anyone into believing he is a lab!
Here's mine. Kinda looks like a golden. hope to cruise the gallery tomorrow, really pooped tonight, did some canning before supper, now need to clean up the rest of the mess in the kitchen.
Well I really am going to the dogs this week! Our new puppy comes home this Saturday. I put the crate together and have been puppy proofing rooms Here's my card for PJ.
OK I am really losing my mind. I researched and printed out the Yankees logo to use the pinstripe as a background and the logo was supposed to be incorporated into the design and I just went ahead and made the card and forgot about the Yankees. (and DH is a fan). I've really got doggies on the brain or is it menopause brain?

Every time I read one of the Destination Station stories about a cancer patient, I think of my late husband. Here's my card for Patrick.
Awwww......Lois......so sad....I am so sorry.......this is probably hard for you.....you are so kind to be sending cards to the destination each week.....Here's a big hug from me to you! ((((((((((((((hug))))))))))))))))))))
I found some dog stamps that I totally and utterly forgot I had last time we had a dog challenge - in my defence I didn't buy them, someone passed them on to me. I trimmed them and added TIOO last night so I'll be all ready to go whenever I get home from work.
My aunt's god-daughter is a photographer specialising in pets and she actually did a doggy calendar last year in aid of an animal charity!!

Congratulations! Puppies are the bestest. Ours in 9mos. old now and a pure joy.
I'm late to the party today. I wasn't going to upload my card at all but decided after making it I should load it. As you've gathered I'm not so happy with it and have decided not to send it. Stupid here got the challenge all mixed up with another card I was making and effectively made a kid's card for a grown man!!! Anyway apart from that it is a lurid yellow colour. Here is my Doggie Disaster.
I live with a Giants and Yankees fan and it's during these games that I get most of my stamping done. Football I can live without and tune it out. Baseball I do enjoy, but you don't have to actually watch to know what's going on.
