Remember the tall cards, well this week were doing little tall cards as I call them.
Cut your cardstock 6 1/4 on the long side and 7 on the short. Score and fold at 3 1/2. Card front is 3 1/2 by 6 1/4.
Left over piece is 4 3/4 by 8 1/2 which is just a half inch longer than the square card Andrea posted for week 53. Take a half inch off if you want a perfect square card.
If you choose to make a card with this piece link it to SC53 so we can all take a look. I stay subscribed to all challenges I participate in.
I used the scrap from cutting the larger piece in my card as youll see so there is very little waste!
Envelope size: commercial - writing stationary - 3 5/8 X 6 .
This size is easy to find and very inexpensive.
Feel free to design your card anyway you wish, just like we did the tall cards. The main objective here is a new size and shape.
The inspiration for this card comes from seewah who is the first person Ive seen doing this size. Thanks Sarah for the inspiration! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I later saw this one from Jami and its a cute little number designed the long way. Jamis is cut wider and she used a SU template for her envelope. Her size is a tad to big for the commercial - writing stationary envy to close properly. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Have fun and I cant wait to see what you all come up with!
Location: In my Happy Place with no one bothering me....I hope!

This is so great!! I have been loving this size card and have already made several...... Off to create another! Thanks for the challenge and for posting early, Rox! I love to get it done right away. Then I actually may get some work done today! LOL!
DawnL beat me to it. I was going to say you were speeding! That was only 13 minutes after you posted the challenge! Might have to get those challenge police out after you!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a way to start my day ... come and check out the sketch challenge for the week and see MY cards used as some of the inspiration! (LOVE Jami's cards, too!)
I am so honored ... thank you!
Can't wait to create a few more cards of this size this week!
Here's my first attempt at a card sketch challenge. The funny thing is that I was inspired by this design and card size before it was on SCS -- my daughter, Sarah, showed me several of the cards she has done in that size so this past Sunday afternoon I tried one too. Didn't know it was going to be today's challenge!
I'm all about shades of green and purple right now -- seems to be comforting to me! Maybe because I think of Easter with those colors ... Easter makes me think of Spring ... Spring makes me happy because we're all so ready for winter to be over this year!
I'm so excited - thanks Rox for using my card along with Sarah's adorable cards as inspiration for the challenge. I am loving this size card an the new envie template. I have one ready to upload but it's for an SCSers b-day so I'll need to wait a few days. Maybe I'll just make another in the meantime.
Here's mine done with Frosty. Okay, I know we should be doing spring cards, but I've had poor Frosty since November, and have not made a card with him yet! And I love these wintery papers from Chatterbox...Thanks for the challenge, Rox! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
This card size is awesome. I have finished one and I have another one inmy head. Hopefully I'll get to it this afternoon!
Here's my first one: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
This is a wayyyy cute card size...thanks for the push. Now I just need to get the little boys better so that I can go buy some envies...they've been sick for 8 days now and I'm getting a little cabin fever!
Rox, I simply love this size card...my new favorite size...I turned this card sideways and it was so fast and simple to make. I cut it a tap smaller and matted the plum cs behind it. Love, love this size...
