OH HAPPY DAY! Time for another color challenge!! I am so happy to be your hostess...and I have come up with a beautiful combo this time if I do say so myself! When this goes live, I will have only hours before I leave for SU Convention.....so I will do my best to keep up with commenting, but once it comes time to board that plane, you will have to wait till I return from Convention and then I will comment. My blackberry and I don't do comments......we have a love/hate relationship anyway, (mostly hate) and typing on that miniscule keyboard while navigating SCS on a computer so small a mouse would complain, is beyond me. So I promise to come home and leave you some nice comments! Here is the color combo for today:
Not Quite Navy (it's like, lets see, not quite navy blue, yah, does that help?)
Baja Breeze (it's like a Robin's egg blue)
Cherry Cobbler (it's a deep cranberry red that makes your heart sing!)
Neutrals of choice
Dessert - CHRISTMAS IN JULY (or some WINTER theme)
What came first, the chicken or the egg? Do you think I think of colors and dessert and THEN make a card like normal people....OR..... Do you think I make the card and then decide the colors and the dessert? YOU GOT IT!!! I made my card, liked it, thought, hmmmm.....let's see if those colors have ever been used before.....and I checked and NO! YAY!! So I hope you enjoy these three colors together as much as I did! Have a wonderful week everyone, I know I will, in sunny Salt Lake City!!!
Here is your design team with some samples to inspire you! Last time I was the hostess I tried to do fancy font stuff with their names, and by the end of it, Vicki D.(my MOVETHETHREAD TOUR GUIDE) and I were both ready to blow a gasket....so this time, no fancy fonts.....I don't do blackberry commenting and I don't do fancy fonts......sorry folks! So here they(we) are:
Please keep in mind, too, that while we list SU colors for the challenges these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!!Please put CC331 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card! If you need help uploading click here! (that's a fake out, and never works when I am the one doing the challenge, so don't bother clicking)If you need help, call Vicki Dutcher, she's awesome if her phone number works)
Have fun at your convention, Karen. I'm sure you are a "star" there. Great colors. The dessert part was the hard part for me....I'm just not into winter yet...or Christmas cards. : )
Love this colour combo! Not so sure I should have done the dessert option - thinking about winter in July caused my Not Quite Navy ink pad to blow its lid!

Oooh, Karen, great, great color combo, LOVE it! I've also been working on my Christmas cards little by little so the dessert option was perfect today! Here's my Country Snowman. Have fun at conference!

Here are a few cards i did for the color challenge. I don't have Cherry Cobbler, yet, and am out of Baja Breeze card stock. So I substituted Rich Razzleberry and Bashful Blue.
