For my sample for this challenge I took inspiration from the bold colors of the bowl. I was thinking about the pictures I'd taken that have the boldest, most vivid and unusual color combinations and I kept coming back to the finest of all artists - Mother Nature herself! She's not matchy matchy - she's loud and proud and bright and filled with gorgeous opposites.

Woohoo! Good Stuff! I have a yard full of 17-18 year olds SO...I had to make sure we were all on the same page with a compromise on what I think is an acceptable music level and what they think, LOL!
I'm here now!
I think everyone is madly scrapping so they can be entered in the PRIZE drawing!

I'm just finishing up my first challenge...but I already have ideas for this one as well. I may never get them uploaded at this rate. I'm thinking since I don't have to have them posted tonight...I'll do the challenges now and post tomorrow when there's better lighting to take pics.
Great challenge and great inspiration site! I made my page around the mixing bowl. I used the colors orange blue and yellow. Thanks for a great challenge Lydia.
I just uploaded the appetizer Bonus and the first challenge. So I am ready to begin this one. I am going to go look at the site now. And Wow! What a nice prize!
Wow! Very cool challenge idea and very generous prize...I could use some new cookware too! What a great idea for the prize for this VSBN . I'll have to try to go through the website and browse. For some reason, the last week or so, SCS and my internet at home has been v e r y s l o w! At least Photoshop Elements doesn't seem to have been affected so I'm not having any problems scrapping! Almost done with the first challenge since I got started a wee bit late on it!
Just got online. When I saw the challenge, my initial thought was "oh no". But, I didn't panic and run. I flipped through my pics and lo and behold, the bowl inspired me. hehe. You'll just have to wait until I upload to see the fruit of that inspiration. Yahoo blue bowl by Zak! Designs.

Firefox has been SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO slow for me for a few weeks. It's very frustrating.

I used the picture of the professional 24 cupcake pan. I'm a cupcake fiend and my peanut butter cup cupcakes are the best! I made a recipe page showing the pan and giving my recipe. I will upload tomorrow when I figure how that all works. I'm too tired tonight to fool with pixils!!!
Ok, finished the first challenge, cleaned my stamp room, ate a little food and now I'm on to the next challenge! I think I'm going to make VSN/VSBN a habit now!!

Here's my page for this challenge. I used the mixing bowl as my inspiration. It reminded me instantly of a picture I took while at Disney World in FL last year on vacation. The colors in the bowl has certainly added splashes to this layout!
I am bound and determined to get my wedding album done in this lifetime, so I am trying to do as many challenges tonight and tomorrow as possible with my wedding photos!
I've been away on vacation so it was fun to come home to VSBN! Quick question; do we have to complete all the challenges this weekend (i.e. by midnight Sunday) in order to be in the drawing for the prize? Or is it complete all the challenges that were posted this weekend, but do it by next week's deadline for VSBN entries? Don't know that I can get them all done anyway, but I would like to know what deadline I'm up against!

that's a good question. I'll leave it to Lydia to answer but I hope it's next sunday. I've got my page done but haven't taken a photo yet.
