Amber.....a funnel cool to get a great shot! We also live in a tornado corridor. Had a tornado touch down on April 26 this year, but only did slight damage to the back of a department store. The last time we had a major tornado, it took a sweep through less than 1/3 mile from my house but I slept through it. I was working nights and I did wake to hear a wind and rain, but I thought to my self....'good, it's raining' and went back to sleep. When I got up and went for my usual walk, I wondered why there was so much traffic on our quiet country road. Then I saw all the trees uprooted, cottages damaged. That tornado in 2005 took a very wide and long swath....probably over 100 miles and did a lot of damage, but no lives were lost. Although not part of the actual tornado, the high winds took down three trees in my backyard. So I have a healthy respect and fear of tornados, and would probably not be as brave as you, to chase it and get photos!
