Question CTMH Stamp Set Storage Container from the Dollar Tree?

I've read a couple of posts in various places indicating that the Dollar Tree sells a storage container of some sort that will hold roughly 20 of the CTMH Plastic Stamp Envelopes that their sets come in. We don't have Dollar Tree in Canada but I'll be in Massachusetts in May and would like to check this item out. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? And if so, could some kind soul post a picture so I'll know just what I'm looking for? Hubby will think I'm crazy if I take one package of stamps with me just to compare container sizes LOL!

Thanks in advance.

I never heard of this! I hope someone posts a picture of it as there is one only a few blocks from my house.

I've been doing some more googling and found this post but it is from 2008. I'm not sure if these were the ones people were talking about:

Crystal's Creations: Stamp set storage

I'm still googling to see what else I can find.

I don't know which containers you saw but The Dollar tree sells many items in bulk on its website: Bulk Containers & Storage Supplies at DollarTree.com

That link should bring you to the results page for "storage". Hope this helps (didn't check if they ship to Canada).

Happy Crafting!

I have also used the small "milk crate" type containers from Wally World for about a dollar, but last time I went I couldn't find any. Other places must have them and they work great.

I stopped in my local Dollar Tree and they didn't have the small milk crates. :(

I also used the small milk crates and they used to be a Walmart - but I haven't found any since last year. Sterlite made them. I am still hoping to find them somewhere....

I use these also. I have noticed they put them out with the Back to School items in the fall.. at least for the last 2 years. So, be watching for them mid summer.

Well after 2 dollar tree stops, shoppers choice, Dollar General and Wally World I came home empty handed :( This is such a great inexpensive way to store the CTMH stamps! I have also been un-mounting my SU sets and I'm using the CTMH envelopes to store them in. I do have 2 of the milk crate style baskets from Dollar tree but that isn't going to get me to far! I guess I will just have to keep checking!!

Well that sucks! I hope to have better luck when I'm in Massachusetts at the end of May but I suspect the result will be the same. I love my cheap containers from The Container Store for my 12X12 paper. I wonder if they have something similar and as cheap that will store my CTMH stamps. That will be where I'll look next.

The Container store is a great idea! I use there bins (cant think of the proper name at the moment) for storing my paper. I ordered 4 wasn't sure if I would like them and I was 1 short to get all of my 8-1/2 X 11 stored! I have 5 more on the way! Finish storing the 8-1/2 X 11 then my 12X12. I received this tip from someone who posted on here about those. So "Thank-you" to whoever posted!

Yes, I'm disappointed that I could not find them too! I have 2 $ trees in my area so I will check from time to time. Also thinking about going to Ollies to see what they have!

So with that being said, I need to get off this computer and get my house cleaned and hopefully run out afterwards!!!

Have a great day everyone & happy stamping!

That might have been me. I saw them on a posting showing a picture of them in someone's scrap room and I posted asking if I should be concerned with the containers being shorter for 12X12 paper. I thought the paper might warp but it is working fine. I ordered 10 at the time, 5 for me and 5 for my mom and plan to get a few more just in case I need them. I'll have to take an empty CTMH stamp envelope with me when I go so I can do some testing. I so wish we had the Dollar Tree and The Container Store here in Canada. The biggest dollar store chain we have in my area of Canada is the Dollarama but they don't carry a lot of the neat and functional things I see in the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar when I'm in the USA.

I've seen some of the mini crates at Office Depot. They are with all their other plastic storage boxes.

Default Wicker Baskets from the Dollar Tree

A CTMH consultant was kind enough to send me the picture of the following containers she got from her Dollar Tree. While not what I was originally looking for, these might do just fine on my shelving.

Hi Leslie! That was nice of her to send you the pic's. The pics are a little on the dark side, is it wicker or plastic? I don't recall seeing those either! I actually bought a set with me to try out in case I found something but no luck. While I was out today I went to Ollie's, big lots and another D.G. and still nothing! I guess i will have to wait until mid summer and see what the back to school supplies brings! I'm in the middle of doing another re-org and my room is such a mess. Sure would of liked to find something and get it over and done with! I still have a-lot of sets to finish un-mounting as well.

I would love to find the ones that you sent the link to from Crystals creations. Good luck and let me know what you end up using!

Dollar Tree milk crates are collapsed so you might not know what they are...they are flat and pop up into the crate. I LOVE them for so many things! They have a cardboard wrapper around them.

I assumed they were wicker but she referred to them as "woven baskets". They might even be fabric. Sorry I wasn't more help.

Default CTMH storage

Hey Leslie, no problem! I have a stamp set in my purse that I've been carrying around. When I have to go out should I see something I'm all set to see if it fits! I'm sure I will find something eventually! Keep me posted on your finds!

Default unmounted stamp storage

Well after not having much luck trying to find a couple dollar tree items I have decided to use the photo storage boxes! I had a couple laying around and I put my stamps in there and it works great!! I purchased a few more at Joann's with a coupon and it came to $2.00 and change! Not bad and they hold a lot of stamp sets. I fit about 30 sets in box! From there I put them on my shelving. Just looking forward to getting all this organizing & cleaning up done!
