WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #141
THAT'S IT! LET SAUL THROW A FIT!
I'M OUT! LET HIM START TO POUT!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
This is my story!
1. I was foiled by google this week! I found a really cute guitar teapot earlier in the week and I thought I had saved it in my teapot file folder on my puter but it was not there! Gasp! And when I tried to google it up again, it had gone missing! So, believe it or not, I had to find another quitar teapot which as you can see by my replacement teapot, completely changed the direction of my story! Ha!
2. Instead of a couple of hillbilly guitar pickers I ended up with The Beatles and
A Ticket To Ride! Of course I just had to change the lyrics to fit my story! The Beatles won't mind!!
I think I need a new friend,
I think it's today, yeah.
My friend with a quitar to play,
Is running away.
He's got a quitar to play-hey,
He's got a quitar to play-hey-hey,
He's got a quitar to play,
But he don't care.
He said that his strummin's so bad,
It's making him madd, yeah.
That he could never be good,
But I know he could!
He's got a quitar to play-hey,
He's got a quitar to play-hey-hey,
He's got a quitar to play,
But he don't care.
I don't know why he won't come to play,
He ought to be nice,
He ought to be nice to me.
Before he gets to saying no way
He ought to think twice,
He ought to be nice to me.
I think I need a new car,
I need one today yeah.
The friend's that's lending me his
Is running away, yeah.
Ah, he's got a car I could drive-hive.
He's got a car I could drive-hive-hive.
He's got a car I could drive
But he don't care.
I don't know why I can't drive his car,
He ought to be nice,
He ought to lend it to me.
Before he gets to saying no way
He oughta think twice,
He oughta lend it to me.
Ah, he's got a car I could drive-hive.
He's got a car I could drive-hive-hive.
He's got a car I could drive,
But he don't care.
Mike Beatty don't care,
Mike Beatty don't care.
Mike Beatty don't care.
3. Meet Mike Beatty. He has an uncanny resemblance to George Harrison and has always played guitar. As a matter of fact, he's got two! Mike is not an *in the lime-light* kinda guy unlike his friend Saul, who coincidentally looks exactly like Paul and craves attention. He is always coming up with ways to get noticed so you won't be surprised to hear that Saul, after hearing about a couple of dudes (Ringo and John look alikes) that are looking for some partners, got the bright idear to hook up with these dudes! He's arranged the whole gig, has big plans for fame and fortune! Plans to be one of four to bring back and take advantage of the success of the original Beatles! There's a big prize for the winners of the highly advertised, most talked about Beatles Look-a-Like contest of all time! Maybe he could even buy his own qgitar instead of having to borrow Mike's! He heard that Simon (Yeah, Idol Simon!) is backing it financially and the winners just might end up on Britain's Got Talent! Look what happened to Susan Boyle! Cha-Ching!
4. Against Mike's better judgement he let his friend talk him into something he's just not comfortable with. He has studied 42,000 old Beatle's performances, has practiced his guitar 42,000 hours and he still doesn't have the confidence he needs to pull this deal off! He just wants to go back to his quiet and insignificant little jam sessions with this friends! That's it! Saul Can Throw a Fit! I'm Out! Let Him Start To Pout! Well, after his pouting episode, Saul has decided to he can make it on his own! All he needs a guitar and a car! That's right! A guitar and a car! Mike left him high and dry! Why? He just needs a guitar and a car! Help a fellah out? With a guitar and a car? You get the picture!
TEAPOT TUESDAY TRANSLATION STATION:
Bring a card with a guitar or a car on it! Well, lemme think a little about that! You know, Saul is not picky how he gets there, bring any kind of transportation, a truck, bus, motorcycle anything that drives with room for a guitar.
Option: If you don't happen to have a guitar or a kind of transportation then take a trip back in time and think about your favorite Beatles song and be inspired by that! I Wanna Hold Your Hand, All My Lovin', Can't Buy Me Love, Day Tripper, Eight Days A Week, I Saw Her Standing There, Love Me Do, Strawberry Fields Forever, etc.
If you bring beetles, the wrong kinda beetles, you might have to come in the back door depends on if they can play a guitar or drive a car! Snort!
TEAPOT TUESDAY DESTINATION STATION:
This week's destination is Greeley, Colorado. If you would like a destination for your card this week, how about sending it to Tom. Tom's story comes to us by way of fellow Teapotter Marilynn
(APandi). And here is Tom's story......
Marilyn's daughter (Andrea) and her hubby (Erik) have been caring for two mentally disability individuals for 11 years which is a 24/7 job. One of them (Tom) has down's syndrome and is quite old for that disability at the age of 62. Tom just absolutely LOVES getting mail!! Getting a piece of mail just MAKES his day! Tom's birthday is October 19th (same as mine, whoot!) but why make Tom wait all the way to October? No way, Jose! Lets get some happy mail going Tom's way.
For more information including Tom's mailing address please visit
Post #206 in the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread, should you decide to send your challenge card to Tom. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is strictly voluntary.
