Can you believe this is our 3rd year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 & 2010 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2011! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2011! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for February. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for this month, if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
*In this thread, we'll track how we do for the month. Look HERE to share and track your Annual Goals. *
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2011 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
(Pssst...in case you're interested in the "history", here's the thread that started it all 4 years ago...
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "SBC11Mar"

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want some goals or resolutions to use more of what we have. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )
You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play
I will post our Scrap Budgets here...let's see if we can band together and encourage everybody to keep on goal

Wow March already! I doubled my goal for last month and I am going to a 3 day scrapin' get away this month so I am going to go for 35 pages. Thanks for pulling another month together for us Lela! Happy scrapping all!

I can't believe it's March already -- it always sneaks up on me because February's so short! I didn't come close to my goal for Feb, so I'm going to shoot for 10 pages in March (what I didn't get done in Feb.!)
I've got a mini board book album to make for my friend this week, so I'll at least get that done. Not sure how scrappy I'll be, though, because I've got several house projects I need to tackle this month. Anyway, please mark me down for 10 pages, Lela! Thanks!
eeekkkkkk MARCH??? How did you come so quickly? Ok I know 2 less days this past month (but hey next year is a leap year, so no excuse right??)
Let's see I don't know what I will be getting done this month, hubby is gone almost all of it, so I need to be realistic and shoot for
4 - yep that's right - only 4 this month, and that may be a stretch!!!!!
Can't wait to see what's in store for us though - I know Lela is always cooking up something, hope to check in more too! With hubby gone at least I get a little more good computer time!

Well looking at my calendar for March...I'm already overwhelmed! I want to keep on track for the year so that would mean I need 7 pages but that may be a stretch. I'm going camping this weekend with dd2 and 3 friends for her birthday but I may have some down time while they're 'hanging out' so I'm bringing the laptop and will hope to get some digi pages done. If that works out I should be good to hit my goal, otherwise not so much!
well, I am ahead of my goals so far. I have a retreat this month and the Scrapbook Variety challenge each week so I am going to set my goal at 25 for the March. That's 20 for the retreat and 5 for the SBC because there are 5 Wednesdays in March. Yikes! that's my January & February goals combined.
Aiming for 8 or more in March. 4 Fridays x two pages = 8. I'm still hoping to continue my weekly uploads for Cheryl's weekly challenge so that will keep me on track hopefully!

I did really well last month, despite being sickly toward the end. My DH is going to be gone for half of march, so I should be able to get more done at night. I'm going to shoot for 20 pages this month!

Liz - I have to laugh, My hubby is gone most of the month too, which means I get less done, Kudos to you though!!!!
unless of course we get my room done before he leaves, then I might actually get something done, but I will probably be spending a lot of time getting it organized and determining what I need to get it usable and workable!!

Whew, is it really March already?! Ok, well I met and exceeded my February goal thanks to the weekend I was away...feels like I have not scrapped in forever! I signed back up as a Stampin' Up Demonstrator and so I have been busy getting some samples ready and had an open house over the weekend...(sales were over $1,000!!!!) It was awesome! And I was able to get a lot of the things that I wanted! YAY! Anyway, my area is cleaned up and ready to go so I am ready for March...put me down for 10 pages

That's awesome on the sales Rebekah! I am de-activating as a CM consultant after my retreat in a couple of weeks. I've been thinking about SU or CTMH. I don't know why I think I have to be a demo instead of a customer only. LOL!

Wait Liz, I didn't see your order pop up in my mailbox ;) KIDDING! Yes, I was very impressed, had one lady spend over $400! She wanted IT ALL! LOL...So I was able to get a lot of things that I thought it would take me months to purchase (Big Shot being one...I have a cuttlebug but can't demo it since it is not SU)...

Michele - I am the SAME way! My CM consultant was a little upset that I didn't become a CM consultant...but, well, I love SU stuff and their stuff, I don't discriminate For demoing and such, I just think SU has more to offer...but I love CM albums (they are all I use) and a lot of their kits as well...decisions, decisions!

I have that same problem! I've been a demo for all of them except CM. Mostly because I wanted the discount but, to be honest I've never had any real customers or held a single workshop or gathering:rolleyes:. So, in the end I spend way more than my discount is worth. Currently I'm doing SU. Just placed a $300 order last week and got so much free stuff cause of Sell-a-Bration. Totally racked up! Would be cool if we all could find one demo for each company who thought like us and we could help that person keep afloat in exchange for the discount. Because really with the tax and shipping as high as it is, that's all we're really saving. KWIM?

Sales-envy over here....! I need customers who are not SAHM's of little kids...like me... lol!
Anyway, I exceeded my goal last month and plan to shoot for 12 this month. I got a new laptop thanks to taxes (and for my birthday - which is this Friday) and that means I can do digi scrapping again so I am really excited!

Woot Woot! Let's get this month started! Got 4 pages finished tonight!
Awesome! I did two pages tonight. I was working on my sample page for the scrapbook variety challenge and after I finished it I remembered what I had planned on doing which was something different for this week's challenge. I completed that sample page and now I have next week's done too. Woohoo!

Way to go Becca! GREAT STart!
I'm banking on the Scrap Retreat I'm going to (thanks Michele!) to get pages done for March. I'm headed on a "road trip" for the next couple days to take my youngest son and some of his friends to a concert. The other Mom's both called me to be sure this was really the case, LOL! This is my "baby" son, I feel like this will be really memorable event since it's a little crazy ... wish me luck! I draw the line at going to the concert but I'll get some work done while they're enjoying the music...ahem.

Yes I know that today is Wednesday but I am going out of town for 2 days and I will not have access to a computer that I can post from. So I am posting today!
Flash back to when you were in school, pen in hand taking notes. What did you do while the teacher lectured....DOODLE of course. I am still guilty of doodling. Especially when I am on the phone or in a boring meeting!
Doodling is defined as scribbling aimlessly. Doodling is a great and inexpensive way to accent your layout and it also adds a personal touch.
Remember it is a doodle not a master piece drawing so have fun with it!
Ahh Lela, be careful yucky weather here this week, rain, snow and just yuckiness!!!
Michele - we do it for the discount, and well it saves me from going to the big box stores, which ain't easy with two little ones in tow, and it's easier to "hide" my demo purchases I think hehehehe
And go Beca - that's great!!!

Divine Digital and Gingerscraps both have their free daily downloads going.
Divine is on day 2. With Gingerscraps, you can currently download both day 1 and 2.
Divine has a legacy kit: Forums
Gingerscraps has a cute springtime style kit: GingerScraps
Now I'm off to check out the new variety challenge just posted!
Ok, so maybe I spend too much time on Facebook...but you know how on there you can "like" someone's comment or status...I am always looking for that button here to like what one of you say and then realize, DUH, wrong site!

I'm confused enough keeping track of the days since not working, Patti -- I thought I'd really lost it when I saw the THURSDAY challenge -- today!! lol
I'm a doodler --esp. when on the phone. As a legal secretary, I've always had to have paper and a writing tool in hand when I picked up the phone, so doodling was a natural time filler! If I ever get the chance to do a page, I'll be sure to add some doodline!! Thanks for the idea!! Hope your trip is for fun stuff!
