AND CHALLENGE #137
A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS?
OH! IT'S YOU MRS. WATTS!
I ADMIRE YOU LOTS AND LOTS!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
Extra, Extra! Read All About It!
The Dirty Dozen Fan Club March Gallery will be revealed at a new time!
12:00 Noon CST on March 15th! (Tommorrow at Noon!)
This is my story!
1. Isn't this a fun little collection of teapots? If I had a collection like this I would be somebody! I can' t remember when I ran across this image but I immediately saved it in my ever growing cool teapot file on my computer. I thought surely this little teapot collection will come in handy one day and as usual, I am right! Ha! (Sometimes I am wrong, Snort!)
2. Who says you can't meet educated, professional, and accomplished people on a night out at The Roxbury! While all you were busting a move, getting in your groove, I observed a fine, sophisticated, and reserved little lady looking quite puzzled. It was as if she she came to The Roxbury on a mission and once arrived her mission was unclear! She looked quite out of place and was fighting the crowd as everytime she turned around she was accidently doing the Sugar Lump Bump with a member of the Teapot Clan. As I got a little closer and approached her she looked a little familiar to me. A penny for your thoughts? Oh! It's you, Mrs. Watts! I admire you lots and lots! I asked her if she was looking for someone and it turns out she came here in search of an artist who had created 323 sketches! Before I enlightened her on the meaning of a sketch as we know it, I thought to myself. Hmmm.....an opportunity this might be!
3. Well, turns out Mrs. Winnifred Watts is the one who calls the shots at the Winnifred Watts Gallery of Fine Art! She is here looking for young, fresh, and exceptional new talent to showcase their work in her world renowned art gallery. Her gallery specializes in still life as evidenced by today's teapots, and she is looking to expand into new areas with new talent. Well, you know me, I am always thinking of fun places to teaparty, so why would I not agree to a private showing of the most amazing, talented, up and coming, soon to take the world of art by storm artist, Miss Teah Potter! Whut? You guys have never heard of her? Sure you have! Remember? Guys, you must remember! You do know they serve tea and wonderful fancy treats at each and every art exhibition of new, up and coming talents, don't you? Yes! Okay! That's right! Good Job! I knew you would remember! Whisper: Duh, what were you thinking? You almost foiled my plan!
4. Here's the deal Teneal! Teneal is Mrs. Winnifred Watt's very young and capable assistant! She sends out invitations, plans refreshments, and hob-knobs with the local Art-traprenuers, those who pay big bucks for art! Whoo hoo! Piece of cake, here's what to make! Bring art in a frame, that is the name of the game. Still lifes are fine but something different would be divine! How about something in blue? Or a horse or two! Maybe art about music, art about song, just bring some art, you can't go wrong! If in a frame, it could mean your fame! It won't be lame, not if its in a frame! I am so glad you came and brought art in a frame, its just not the same, if it's not in a frame. A frame around a musical note, a frame around a song you wrote. A musical instrument, something you've played, held in a frame, a frame you've made! It will be alright, if you bring a still life! Just bring your art to have a part. Help Teah Potter put a smile on a daughter!
If you bring art without a frame, just come in the back door and you won't be noticed!! Winnifred Watts, Teah Potter and Here's the Deal Teneal are busy hob-knobbin' with Robyn, she's rich and famous!
Challenge Translation:
Use a frame on your card.
Destination Station #137
This week's destination is Canton, Ohio! We will be sending our cards to Haeli, a little 6th grader who was brought to my attention by Michelle (Michellesscraps), a fellow SCSer. Haeli is undergoing chemotherapy for ovarian cancer at her young age! Michelle's sister works in the same school that Haeli attends and tells us that Haeli loves art and her teachers claim she is quite the artist! Haeli is also an avid horseback rider, her favorite color is blue, she loves music, plays the viola, the french horn, trumpet and piano. She is also in choir and likes to sing. That is a whole bunch of accomplishments for a 6th grader! You go girl!
For more information including a link to Michelle's original blog post, please visit the Post #192 in the Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread, should you decide to send your challenge card to Haeli. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is strictly voluntary.
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT137 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? SCS has given me permission to create an email Teapot Tuesday Cheater Group and email the challenge out on the Friday before the Tuesday of the challenge so you girls can have the weekend to make your card. Send me a pm with your email address if you wanna be a Cheater! If you dont' want to cheat, I am posting a sneak peak on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it sometimes during the weekend before the next Tuesday!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges. Feel free to grab this I survived Teapot Tuesday Badge for your blog!
AND NOW A TEAPOT TUESDAY BIRTHDAY TOAST
TO THIS WEEK'S BIRTHDAY GIRLS
(KEEP THOSE PINKY'S UP GIRLS!)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS!
StampMuse - 3/14
Hey Emily! I know you aren't around much but if you happen to stop by, Happy Birthday girlfriend! We miss you! Hope you have a great day on the 14th! Eat cake!!!
A great challenge, Cindy, and one that was fun to put together. Hope our cards bring a big smile to Haeli's face! Mine will be in the mail tomorrow. Thanks!
Thank you for the challenge, Cindy,
This was more of a challenge for me this week. Machines and new gadgets challenge me. I had to take my picture with a new camera, and then when I fnally managed to take a picture that could finally be posted. The gallery wouldn't let me post it...Picture too large, so I then had to resize it..
I'm someone who doesn't handle change too well. But fortunately, I think I finally succeeded in figuring out how to do what I needed to do LOL!

I hope Haeli gets some smiles and cheer from the cards that the teapotters are sending to her. For one so young, she has quite the struggle ahead. Here is my card.
The destination is only 20 miles from where I grew up! Here's MY CARD for Haeli.

My card hasn't much to do with the teapot(s) this week but the image of the little girl struggling with a huge bouquet bigger than she is brings to mind the struggle of our little Haeli. Here is my "Sweet Bouquet"
I want to make another card for this - I love frames, and music even more .
As life is a bit disorganised right now I don't know whether I'll actually get there - so here is my Song Sung Blue.
I have so much "Real Life" work today. I have missed my teaparty sisters. I hope to get to play later today! Just wanted to pop in and say Hi. Happy Birthday to Emily too.
I do not think I am able to edit for some reason - I must have had another senior moment. In the above post I really meant to say I am not sure I was inspired by any of the teapots!
Late for the party, for sure. Took forever to create a card I was reasonably happy with. No story, either; but I will be back later to comment on gallery.
Here's my card:
I don't have a scanner to load cards, but had to tell you, your pictures of the porcelin teapot and critter is so precious. I saved it for inspiration. thanks

You are quite welcome! And I must say...when you start uploading come back to us here and have some tea! Snort! I would love to be able to see what you do with those teapots as inspiration!
