I made my own shimmery watercolors by taking a kids water color pallette with the hardened individual colors of water color and pearl ex. I popped out the individual colors and put them into small containers with lids (originally had brads or small embellies in them). I put about 1 to 2 Tablespoons of water and let them set until the watercolor dissolved completely (takes a while, be patient). Then I scooped about 1/4 t of pearl ex into the watercolor solution and stirred it completely until the pearl ex was dissolved into the watercolor. I set them on a windowsill to dry until the water evaporated. Voila, shimmery watercolors for really inexpensive.
Clever and a fantastic idea (of course I don't have any kids' paints but they are inexpensive enough to buy and still save money with this idea).
