Imke---do you own a Knifty Knitter? You have to see it really does do the job FAST! You just flip a knitted loop over another one and within the first 10 minutes you have a 4 inch length started. I used a bulkier yarn for my DH's scarf yesterday, and just zipped it out like magic! I didn't add any fringe trim or pom-poms --just a nice solid top/bottom it just builds and poof...done! This is the only time of year I can do this--I cannot sit on a summer day and knit...it's just too hot to knit come spring/summer!
