Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for the Week Ending January 23, 2011
Welcome to the Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites Thread! It's so nice this Sunday to have a fully functioning SCS! Last week threw me a curve ball and I never had a chance to get back and post my favorites. Fortunately, I didn't have to because so many of you shared yours. Thank you!!!!
Invitation to Newcomers: If it's your first time on the CAS Favorites thread, please know that you are invited to share links to your own CAS favorites from the past week's gallery uploads. The more, the merrier...so welcome aboard!
I'll get us started with these lovelies.
sblondin made a super cool Valenine using the FTL123...love how the red pops off the white background
stamperjen0 used dp, an embossing folder, and scallops to create lovely details in a very simple Valentine
ejkeaton created an amazing one-layer thank you word collage that perfectly balances 12 sentiments
biggan posted an amazing Smile card with fabulous color and detail...I especially love how she repeatedly stamped the typewriter-font sentiment in black and then the script word Smile over it
smriti used the Cuckoo set from Hero Arts to fabulously CAS effect with her Tuesday Trigger card...one I plan on case-ing since I have this set and didn't know what to do with it, LOL!
ltecler's gradient stamping on her one-layer Simply Celebrate card is simply perfect
NikiE used red and white to brilliant effect on her gorgeous Merry Christmas poinsettia card, and I love the subtle texture of the holly on the matte...simply fabulous!
rosigrld made my jaw drop with the simply beautiful collage on her Life Happens card...so many elements arranged so perfectly in such glorious white space!
AmberDawn's Love You card uses non-traditional colors and a fab layout to wonderful, fun effect
Angelnorth posted a Tree at Sunset card with gorgeous watercoloring behind silhouette images for a high-impact yet also peaceful one-layer card
Now it's your turn! Please share the CAS goodness you found in the gallery this week, and as you are able, please take time to leave some comments.
Thank you so much for the mention of my Tree at Sunset card Susan - first week I've remembered to check out the CAS favourites thread without a nudge from Karen and I find myself on it, what a lovely surprise!
Oh my goodness....I was so impressed by all the beautiful CAS cards this week. Yikes. Before I knew it...I had four pages of favorites. So I decided to narrow it down to my Top Ten. No easy feat I tell ya.

I still have limited gallery time so appreciate the chance to see these fabulous cards. Seems like this week's cards are especially great. I have added to my Favorites gallery today.
Ah, there I was giving myself a pat on the back for not needing Karen's kind call to the thread this week and I find myself in her debt once again since StampGroover has very sweetly listed my Bonjour card in her faves since I first stopped by! Thank you so much to both of you!

Susan, thank you SO much for listing my OLC sentiments-only card among your CAS favorites this week! What an honor. You are so sweet to include me. It truly made my day!!!!!
And a huge THANK YOU to Karen for the heads up on my being named this week. You are so sweet and helpful to do that!
