I have been making cards for quite some time now and my Mom suggested that I put something on the back to say that I made it. What stamp do you guys use? Do you know of a good site to order a stamp?
I have cube stamp with 6 different teddy bears on it. There is one laying on it's tummy like it is sleeping that I use on all my cards I put my DT on it and the year. I call my card Sleeping Bear cards.
I have one from Stampin' Up from when I used to be a demo. Has my name and says "Hand Stamped By" on it. But most often I use a small sheep image ( I love sheep! ) and just put my initials on one side of it and the year on the other.
Stampin' Up has quite a few "Made by..." stamps in their catalog. I think any online stamp store will have at least one stamp available like this. Some are basic, some are funny, like "Hey, I made this don't you dare throw it away"!
Some places will even custom make one to your specifications.
I have a stamp I got at Walmart, of all places. It came in a pack with a Thank You stamp for only $5.
It says "Handmade By" and has a tiny flower at the top. Then I just sign my first name under it. Sometimes I use a colored pencil to color in the tiny flower to match the card.
I make other things besides cards - sew, crochet, etc. so I liked that it says handmade, rather than handstamped. That way I can use it to make little tags to go on my other crafty items, too.

I had stickers printed, with the name I use and an email address. I reckoned that it was cheaper to get them ready-printed than print my own, especially when I wanted clear as they look better than white. I also have gold for using on dark card bases. I do have a Handmade by Sabrina stamp which was a Christmas freebie from a company I buy from, but I don't often use it.
I sometimes add a stamp that says "This card was made by hand. If you throw it out, those same hands will make a voodoo doll in your image and stick pins in it."
Or a Hambo one that says "Yes, I made this. Yes, I am awesome."
Or one that says "It may be late, but it's hand made."
I've always just put my initials in the lower left corner and the month/year in the lower right. I have several "made by" stamps but I never think about getting them out!

I have the set "Handmade with Love" from SU! that I keep on my desk at all times. My go-to favorite is one with a dragonfly and the words "Hand Stamped by". I usually just sign my initials to the side.
I have several stamps that I use, they are all SU. The first one says "hand stamped by with a little star on it. Another is a spool of thread, for my screen name. The last and my personal favorite is a snail, because I am usually late getting things mailed. I put my initials by whichever stamp I use.
I have a whole basket full of stamps for the back of cards...lots to choose from and I also have about 12 personalized stamps to use...whatever is my whim that day is what I use.
blessings.
I wish I had a stamp, but I write this on the bottom of every card: "made for you with love by merry" in all lower-case letters. Then I have a very retro stamp of a woman opening a piece of mail and I stamp that in the corner, over the sentence, with the year under it.
I wish I could find a company that would make a stamp of exactly that sentence, without their own words.

I have two different stamps from Hobby Lobby. One is a handprint and says handmade for you....the other one looks like a postage stamp (sort of). I stamp and then sign my name and the date I made it.

Like the others, I have a variety of small stamps that I put on the back and sign my first name. All from Stampin' Up! I agree with your Mom. It would be a good thing if you put something on the back of your cards. All artists sign their work. Listen to Mom. Blessings to you.
I have a stamp from Close to My Heart that says Hand stamped with heart, and my first and last name. There is a heart on the left hand side of the lines. I do agree that you should stamp your cards with your name, I didn't use to and my husband and friends told me that I should so that people know where the card came from. I made wedding invitations for a friend a couple of years ago and I wasn't going to use my stamp on the back because I didn't want to take away from the event and there special day and when she found this out she insisted that I use my stamp so that if someone else wanted cards/invites made they would know who to contact to make them.
I run different sized cards through my printer and print my contact details on from a publisher document. I've saved it for the different sized cards that I make. It takes me ages to get it in the right place, but when I do, I'm so happy that I beat the pc! LOL
I had a stamp made at my LSS....I drew a picture of what I wanted and added 'created by Karen Dunbrook' and they made it up....love it.
Just look up rubber stamps in your yellow pages and you may be surprised at what you can find and it is pretty inexpensive.
Currently I am using one that says "Handmade by" in a wreath of flowers and I write the year and my name inside the wreath. I ordered a new one from SU that has a butterfly on it and says "Handstamped by Kathy" so I don't have to write my own name anymore! YAAAY! That one will be here on Monday!
I got my custom "oddesigns" from simon stamps: http://www.simonstamp.com/
I've also had them do stamps from custom images. I've been happy with the results.
I had one of those preinked stamps made for me by one of the office supply stores in town. It says "lovingly stamped by Paula" in my handwriting. I stamp it at the bottom of the card with the year written under it. Then on top of the stamp I add one of my zillions of stickers we had to have years ago and never used. I try to pick one to match the theme and color of my card. Makes it look a bit more professional, at least to me.

I have about 20 or so back stamps. I try to match the stamp with the theme of the card I'm making. One of the funniest is: This better not go in the trash!
I have lots of different stamps for the backs of my cards, but the funniest one which I love is: "I made this card - you can't throw it out. Nope - not ever!" which is from an Elzybells set (the company no longer exists :(). Other times, I just use a little stamp that has a teddy bear on it with a "Hand-stamped by....." and I write my name. I think it's good to have something that reflects your personality and I think it's good to sign your artwork - if it was a painting you would. I love the voodoo doll one ROFL !!
I have a whole basket full of stamps for the back of cards...lots to choose from and I also have about 12 personalized stamps to use...whatever is my whim that day is what I use.

Great idea! I need to group all of these together and have them close by as I tend to forget about the back of the card! And it's just a shame as I have many stamps for this very purpose!
I have ordered from paperangels.com: The Leading Paper Crafts Site on the Net They usually have some kind of special going on and free gifts when ordering. I use several different stamps too depending on who and what kind of card I am making~ Most of the cards I make say Tammy's Creations. I just checked out Hambos funny signatures... I think I am going to have to add these to my wish list!

Everyone calls me "kat", so I have a little cat face stamp I picked up at Joanns years ago. I put it on the back of all my scrap pages too. I haven't made many cards but I put it on the back of those too.
I have several stamps for the backs of my cards, some from SU, some from Hobby Lobby, some from who-knows-where. But my FAVORITES are from Artful Legacy - one that says "Hand Stamped because I can't draw!" and one that says, "This card took several hours to make - Act impressed!"
