Okay, I've been out of the loop for a while. What is acrylic spray? Any idea on a price range, and is there anything you could substitute that I might already have?

I have used hairspray in a pinch. It works fine for me. It's called Acrylic Sealer sometimes. You can get it at just about any hobby store. I can usually find it for $5 -$6 a can? Something like that.
Alison, thx for answering, I was wondering the same thing. have hairspray so it will have to do. on a spending ban unless it's used (think garage sale) or insanely discounted.

Wow, this list has me super curious!
Don't have a crimper.....can I score and fold?
Heavy cardstock...how heavy? Like cardboard? What about foamboard?
Now I just need to locate my little battery operated tealight, where could that thing be?!

score and fold should work. I don't have a crimper either
It doesn't have to be that heavy, cardboard I mean. You can always adhere two pieces of lighter weight cardstock together if you need to. If you have any 110 or 120 lb cardstock around that should work well.
Can't wait to see your creations... It's getting awfully exciting.
I think it's just the safest option, so publicly it's better to suggest it. I couldn't find any, so my plan is to put a candle in just for the photo but not let it burn since it's definitely too close to the flame! LOL
Are the matches to light a candle or can we just use a lighter?
You are correct. Matches to light the candle. I will be using a lighter myself.

I'm trying to mix it up with Mix-Ability every Friday (little behind!)
I'm thinking I can use this empty cereal box for the heavy cardstock....that should be something most people have around. like the flashlight idea, no tealights in the house. was contemplating taking the butcher knife to a taper.....lol!!

No knives needed!

I save all my cereal boxes for just this purpose! Cheap, easy & recyclable chipboard! ;)

Ahh, but chocolate isn't an out of the ordinary supply. It is ALWAYS on hand!
Yes, but doesn't VSN call for out of the ordinary chocolate?

you can also get it at WM (or at least used to be)
What size candle are we using? Like others I don't have the acrylic spray so hairspray will have to do.
Any size candle should work. You may want to avoid those giant 3-wick jobs. ;)

Ah, yes - a verrrry interesting supply list! I hope I get to play along as the mini VSN sort of snuck up on me. Sure sounds like fun. I don't have a number of things on the shopping list, but may try the suggested substitutes. I DO have choc-o-late!
