Sign Up Here for the Christmas Card Challenge 2011
WHO: Everyone that needs cards for the Holidays;
WHAT: Complete 10 Christmas/Hanukkah cards each month (January through November) You can set your monthly goal for however many you’ll need. There is no score keeping here!
WHY: To relieve stress! This way you’ll have plenty of cards to send out for the holidays!! We all know how busy December can be, so why not try to get your holiday cards all done by the end of November! Remember, the whole idea behind this challenge is to make your life easier.
WHERE: First upload to your gallery then post a link in the designated thread* . Please use CCC11 in the Title or Keyword so that others can search for your cards! *Please use only the thread that I start for each month or you might be missed.
To attach a link here, when the page you want us to go see is open, go to the address bar and 'copy the whole thing' then go to where you want it seen and paste it in the post box. (instructions step by step with pics in PDF at end of this post)
WHEN: The whole month! There is no 'deadline' for getting your monthly cards done. However...as an incentive, there will be a small monthly prize. At the end of each month, everyone who has completed their cards for that particular month will have their name put into a drawing for a small incentive prize.
HOW: Just post a reply to this thread saying that you want to join and then start creating! Make your cards any way you like - make them all the same or mix them up. Any tools, toys, gadgets, embellishments, etc...you decide- after all, these are YOUR cards.
You can join anytime during the year. . If you need to skip a month or two, that is perfectly fine.
Jingle Belles Rock Awesome Blog for inspiration
~hinchy78 receives the first monthly prize!
February Thread
~tryingtofindtime wins the drawing for February!
March Thread
sodell (Stacy) is the goodie envelope winner for March
April Thread

MTblackpearl (Cheryl)
Who is signed up, and what they're goal is per month
Just remember that is not written in stone, make what "YOU" want/need!
This is not a race. You can start your cards well before the 1st of the month or wait until the middle of it. This is just motivation to have a set of cards done before each month ends

I'm in. Maybe this year I won't be left solely responsible for the grandtoddler. LOL She misses grandma but seems happy in Nashville with Mommy. The studio remodel is almost complete. Let the 2011 cards begin!

Hey Pamela!
I see you have Operation Write Home in your signature.
I wanted to make a 'plug' for them here too!
Glad to see it!!!!
I like joining swaps that are 5 + 1 too. 6 is so much easier.

We can start creating NOW for January's cards, right? Or do we have to officially wait until January for our cards to count Vikkijo?

Rita, I love your avatar! Is that scanned needlework or stamped image? Just too cute. Hoping to change mine tomorrow. My grandtoddler decorated a wooden Christmas tree to take home then we forgot to pack it so it's still sitting on my kitchen windowsill for a couple weeks :-)

Hey Maggie, Sue! Glad to see you gals here. Vikki Jo will be in to add you to the list soon, I'm sure. Sue, how many ever you want to pledge is fine. It's all about what works for the individual. Me, I always pledge 10. But since Maggie and I are virtual stamping on Tuesday nights, maybe that will help. It's worth a shot!

Oh my I am so thrilled!!!
Okay I got a January Thread Created
I will work on the rest of the year a bit later. I must cover the windows today
it is only 13 degrees above zero today and got plastic on the windows in the living room, and the one dining room window.
I must cover the ones here in my room! I am freezing today!
my window right next to me here is completely frosted over
Oh I have a bottle of glue sitting on the shelf just over my shoulder here in front of the window! IT FROZE!
Back later!
granted this window is the only North facing one we have in the whole house!

Good grief, Vikki - where do you live? I can't imagine having a bottle of glue freeze indoors.
Thanks for doing the challenge!

I'm back for my THIRD year in a row! Joining the Christmas Card Challenge has been one of the best decisions I've ever made! I actually get my Xmas cards done in time! This year I think I will only commit to 4 cards a month, my circle of family and friends is getting smaller as I age!

Yikes on the postage! Oh well, I only pay to send cards and some gifts out nowadays since I do all my banking and bill paying online.
I signed up, but didn't set my goal. I'm going to make 5 Christmas cards per month, then I may have time to do some other themed cards.

I know! Especially if you use some of what you have already on hand, before spending money on new stuff
For those who keep track of what you use vs what you buy new.

Sounds like I need to get to the post office and pick up more 'forever' stamps. Why do they only raise it a penny or two at a time? Why not just hike it up to 50 cents and leave it alone for awhile?

If you don't have to have Christmas stamps on your cards, start stocking up on the Forever Stamps now. Then when postage goes up, you'll still be spared a few cents.
LOL Sorry, Pamela. I didn't see your post until after. That's what I do. I designate enough every check for at least 1 book of Forever Stamps. Then I'm good for the year when it comes to bill paying, card mailing, letter writing (yes, I still do that but near as often as I'd like)

They are figuring that 2 cents per stamp will help their budget $2- 3 million dollars in a year!
They also have a new forever stamp out right now.. it's spruce branches, very pretty!
I need to think about this challenge great idea!

I'd like to play this time around. I love making Christmas cards, and it'll be fun to play all year long. I'll aim for 10 per month.
