TLC306 ~ Painting with Stickles ~ (1/03/11)
Hello everyone!! First I want to thank Cheryl for hosting the TLC last week...her ribbon bookmark challenge was wonderful!!
I have a really simple and fun challenge this week (hummmm, I think I always say that...LOL!!)
Painting with Stickles !!
We have all used Stickles one time or another but this week I would love to see you paint the whole image with Stickles!!
I have a tutorial here to give you some inspiration.
What!!! You don't have any Stickles??? That's ok...just paint an image and add glitter...I won't tell anyone!!!
If you are impatient like me and don't want to wait for the Stickles to dry befor uploading your card, make the card first and attach the image panel. Then color the image with Stickles...you can then take you picture without smudging the image!!
Here is my sample:
Spring Daisies
Please remember when uploading to include the
KEYWORD TLC306 (no spaces).
You can view the entire
TLC306 gallery here

This sounds cool, Joan. I have very few colours, I use mostly the clear ones, so I might have to colour my image and then add Stickles - not quite the challenge. Unless I can think of an image that will look good in just silver, gold and black
.

I use stickles all the time but as an accent. Have a great daisy stamp that I think will fit right into this challenge. Back in a bit !

What a great challenge Joan. Now why hadn't I ever thought of blending the colors in this way? I love the results.

Joan, how long does it take the stickles to dry? I just finished my card and am waiting for it to dry.

I have placed an image with stickles under a light bulb in a goose neck lamp for 30 mins or so to help it dry. The drying time really depends on how thick it has been applied.

Thanks Joan, for the drying hint. I put it under a light source and that helped speed it along with the drying.

Thanks for the great idea- stickle painting.
I did leave the background glass blank, I didn't want to blind the recipient!

Great challenge Joan. How could you have known I got all kinds of new stickles colours in my Christmas stocking. It was really relaxing last night working on this, Christmas over and no responsibilities on my plate except completing this weeks' challenge. Here is my
"Berry Patch".
