I finally have my money saved up to buy some copic markers and am looking for the cheapest place to buy them. Can't seem to find a place in Canada if anyone knows one. Of even cheap shipping from the US..
Try carpediemstore.com. They are the least expensive that I found.....anywhere. I don't know how much shipping will be for you but what you save in cost may make up for shipping.
If you're looking for a canadian store, I know that www.currys.com sells them. I go to my local Curry's store to buy them - so have never had them shipped. They have a good selection of colours - not a great selection. At least they're Cdn. and not too far from you. I also order somewhat regularly from Eclectic Paperie and they carry copics as well. Their shipping has always been really reasonable to Canada (although I have never ordered copics from them).
Tks to you all for your help... I just ordered a set of 72 for Dick Blick and even saved another 20% off my order because it was over 100.00. Just have to wait to see what the shipping will be and hopefully it won't be too bad. I can't wait to get them.
I just bought 12 Copic Ciao markers for $35 at COPICmarkerS.com plus $1.65 for insurance. I had my choice of colors. I had never heard of them so used my AMEX card. If I have any problems, AMEX will take care of it for me. The deal was the colors had to be in stock.

I ordered mine from www.merriartist.com for 4.46$ each, 18$ shipping. I should receive them by the end of the week, I'm anxious to see how much I will have to pay for customs, hopefully nothing...
I just got my first Copic Ciaos today. I got them from COPICmarkerS.com. They were fabulous! I ordered Sat. night and got them today. I paid $35.55 for 12 plus $1.65 for insurance- no shipping charges. I was able to order the colors I wanted. I am impressed with this service.

Was it a special to get free shipping? Do you know if that only applies to the US? I live in Canada. Am I correct in that you were able to choose each individual color and it only came to $35.55 for 12 colors? Thank you.
I sent an e-mail to the company and they are in the process of making arrangements to ship to Canada. He said if I wanted to order right now to just let him know what I wanted and he would quote me the shipping cost.
I ordered 40 sketch style from www.carpediemstore.com for $3.95 each on Monday last week and had them in my hot little hand on Thursday! Almost a dollar cheaper per marker than I have seenany other place.
I have been very happy with Curry's as well! I am lucky enough to have a store in town-but will be ordering from them online once I've bought all of their instore colors. They have good prices too-worth checking out!
The tips are replaceable and the markers refillable with the Ciaos as well. They are a little smaller so hold a little less ink. The other difference is the the Ciaos are available in something like 144 colours whereas there are over 300 colours in the Sketch markers. Most of us would never need them all and I figure if there is one or two that I decide I can't live without, I can always buy the individual ones.
Airbrush and Ciao and Original Copics....and where to buy Copics

I have the airbrush system and you can use the Ciao and original copic markers. For the Ciao you just need to add a little piece of foam tape in the airgun nozzle (not my idea, got it from someone's blog, don't remember which one). I have 2 nozzles, one for the Ciao markers modified to fit them and the other for the original copics I have. Also, I highly recommend www.merriartist.com to purchase Copics from. Their customer service is *outstanding*!!! They even called me when there was an issue with a refill I ordered and took the time to make an adjustment which was way more than fair to me. Also, they have free shipping on orders over $70, so I figured the little more I paid outweighted the shipping charge that www.carpediemstore.com has.

That pricing is still current, however their shipping costs are expensive. If you are purchasing a lot of markers though, it would be worth your while.

This is where I have bought almost all mine. (I did get a couple from Ellen Hutson, to)
The Ciaos at Curry's are $3.49 each. For the sets you have to ask them as they are ordering them in as a special order item and the stores don't have prices on file for them.
I tried to post a link for you and it wouldn't let me.:(
You have to get at it a little funny. Go to the site, under art materials, then markers and then search for Copic Ciaos. Email me for the link if that doesn`t work for you.
I like the original Copics best. One of the ends is a much smaller tip than any of the other versions have, so it gets into smaller spaces. Also, I like that they are sort of squared in cross-section; they don't roll on my work surface. On the other hand, they're harder to find than the Ciaos or the Sketches, so I actually have some of each.
