A Rolling Cart with Drawers that Hold 12x12 Paper - does it exist?
Hi ladies. I have been looking for a rolling cart that has drawers wide enough to hold 12x12 paper. The only one I've found so far that is wide enough to hold 12x12 paper is from Target - it has 7 "drawers" which are actually plastic bins with lids. I really would prefer just drawers that I can pull out with no lids or covers (I have trouble with my hands that make opening the containers very difficult). Do they make carts like these? Maybe I am just looking in the wrong places . . . All the ones I've seen online (like at Joann's, etc) don't seem to be wide enough to house the 12x12 paper. Thanks for any help you can give!
Thanks so much for your reply! I think that's the same one that my husband brought home from Target but I was really looking for one without lids. My husband said that he could cut the lids off if I can't find anything else - maybe that's what we'll need to do!
The drawers are a little wonky on the sides and slip out of track sometimes but if you are careful when opening and closing it works great. It easily holds 12" paper for me.
It also holds all my inks, yada, as the drawers are only 2-3" tall. I find them very useful.
They are not hugely sturdy, can't be banged around alot, but they roll well and I'm using them (five of them) for all sorts of things!
Thanks so much for all the ideas! We do not have an Ikea anywhere around here but we do have a Sam's about 40 minutes away and can try there. I'll also look at the details on the Seville drawer cart on Amazon and compare it to the one from Target to see if it's different enough to work a little better. And thanks for linking the Best Scrapbook Shelf - it's beautiful, way out of my price range but so, so nice! Thanks everyone!
JoAnns had nice tall drawer units out for black Friday. Each drawer was a different color. Looked nice as they were made by Cropper Hopper so should be decent quality.
make sure that is what you are looking for I bought one..........as long as it is for paper but I bought it store some of my other craft supplies.. I found it to be not very sturdy.....
HERE's the one I've seen at my local Sams Club. I don't have it so can't vouch for it's quality but it fits your description to hold 12x12 and no lids on the drawers. Good luck!

I bought one of these on black friday and they do fit 12x12 paper nicely. Now I see that thru 12/24 they are even $5 less than black friday, now they are $29.99.
Our local JoAnn has a nice big stack of them, thinking of getting another for my kid's art supplies.
I've got a sterilite one that each drawer comes out with a lid, but here's the thing.. you can pull off the lid and use them without... If you are looking plastic, check the hinges, many styles are actually 2 pieces that can be detached... (not cut)

I was JUST going to post this!!! I've bought FOUR of these since Thanksgiving and I AM ABSOLUTELY LOVING THEM!!!
I paid $29.99 each for two of them and only $25 each for the other two (Black Friday sale)!
So far I've got ALL of my rubber stamps in them, some of my paper and am planning to add all of it, as well as plans for my stickers.
Currently my stickers are in the Target drawers with the lids - and I seriously considered cutting off the lids (as your hubby suggested) but that same week got the Cropper Hoppers on Black Friday. I still love the Target drawer set (I have two) but will be using them to store different sewing supplies rather than paper/stickers~!
I saw the same one that LLHOtshot is talking about at Sam's last Saturday. They look wonderful!!! Gotta get me one of em'. 12x12 with no lids and roll.
I found a 10 drawer clear plastic cart at Sam's Club for under $40 about 6months ago and that is how i store my scraps by color. It does fit 12x12. Love it. similair to the ones in craft store ads in multi color for $80.
Reviving thread because I have my two carts all organized just now although I purchased for homeschooling over a year ago. Looks like Sam's still caries them from that handy link above. No regrets on purchasing these at that awesome price, $30! Pics of my set up:
there are pictures in my gallery and also on the gallery in mission organization. Each has ten drawers and the drawers do not have lids. They roll easily but i find I have to tighten the hex nuts on the sides every so often or it gets "tipsy" I got tham at Sams Club and they were $30 each. A Bargain, I think!
I have five of the carts from Sam's and wish I had more floor space for a few more!
Love them for the 12x12 paper (but paper can be heavy so as one of the posts above mentioned, you may need to tighten the bolts occasionally and be careful the drawer does not get off track).
I also store wood mount stamp sets (still in the case) and they fit well doubled up in each drawer plus the drawers fully extend (or if you like pull out all the way). The wheels work great and there is a storage shelf on top that has rails - I have Sizzix Bigz XL Dies on edge on one, another with Paper Holders, etc.
I also have the Iris carts with the 6 drawers (6 of these carts as well), the scrapbook carts with the 12x12 pull out drawers (bought at Costco years ago) , scrapbook carts that have the drawers with the snap lids, other metal carts with drawers that match the ones discussed above from Sam's-in fact, I have not met a "cart" that I do not like :-))
Our house is small (my craft room is in an 11x13 room) but I have so much "inventory" I can barely move:-)) I can no longer "feed" my addiction to storage items..I need to start using up the ribbon, paper, etc. that I am storing...
Is there a "Storage Addiction Anonymous" Group anywhere... I need help! :-)
I recently bought something that is perhaps out of the box at Ikea. After looking at various drawer systems I noticed that none of them were going to accomodate my 12x12 papers as they were either too small or too wide. I found the Antonius storage system which is actually in their laundry storage area. It is on casters with four shelves but you can add as many of these 4 shelf components as you wish. Then you have your choice of with solid plastic drawer or white metal powder coated (strong) grid/mesh type . This comes with casters and you can get a top for it for an additional $7 to put your cuttlebug or any other storage on it. As well they have a variety of assorted smaller storage bins for about 2-3 dollars made to perfectly fit these drawers. The best part is that the system of four with drawers and wheels top and little organizers cost me a whopping $38. If I wish to add to this I can do so either sideways or vertically.
It nice and clean and sturdy and best of all its the right size for either size of paper.I cant wait to set it up.I looked at a couple of the plastic storage bins but for me I thought this unit was less expensive than some of the plastic units and better built.
