WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #119
DAISY, DELILAH, LOU AND THE BLUE CANOE!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion!
This is my story!
1. Happy Tuesday! Okay, peeps, I think there is a teapot under this Daisy! Although I won't guarantee it and I won't be pouring tea just yet cuz I might end up with a tea-stained white lacey table cloth. Ooh, that gives me an idear! A Teapot Tuesday challenge bringing tea-stained cards to the party! But, wait! That might be a technique! I don't do those so good, but I suppose I could call it a trick instead of a technique and then it would be easier for me! We'll see! Snort!
2. You must admit, we've built ourselves quite a reputation. One that says, we can bring anything to a teaparty, and lots of it! Well, it's no big surprise that we might run into someone with an agenda, someone who might make up a story just to get what they want! Don't you guys just hate it when people make up stories that are not true??? (Yikes!) I am not sure how we ended up on the Amazon, but I'm pretty sure it was a con! A message from a girl name Daisy, an invitation to tea from her friend Delilah, and a promise of fun "on the water" from a guide named Lou! It's a con, we're at the Amazon!!!
3. When Lou said water, I was thinking beautiful white sandy beaches, not disgusting black and slimy leaches! When Lou said water, I was thinking a good looking, friendly waiter, not a critter worse than a gator!!! When Lou said water, I was thinking bask in the sun, not it's a snake girls, run!!! When Lou said water, I was thinking tea and a very nice meal, not the Amazon, it's for real?? Lou has offered to take us on his boat, to a nice little section of the river where Daisy keeps her pride and joy. An expensive, really fancy, canoe. It's huge! Its like a big ole yacht! It has a fancy dining room, wonderful sleeping quarters, and entertainment! And the most impressive part is that its been hand painted top to bottom with beautiful white daisies! 42,000 teapotters headed down a river on rickety old barge dodging hungry little paranhas headed for pure enjoyment, fun and relaxation? Are we there yet? Get off the boat! Run for land!
A little jingle to the tune of bicycle built for Two!
Daisy, Daisy where is your white canoe?
Were all stranded, we can't find the likes of Lou!
Maybe he's just gone fishing,
How long has he been missing?
Please help us out
We've lost our scout
And we wish we could have our tea!
Ladies, Ladies, it's not a white canoe.
It's all painted a bad ugly shade of blue!
I'm happy to let you take it.
But white you need to make it.
It will surely be great
I won't let you be late
For your teaparty held at 3:00!
4. That's it? That's the canoe? Where are the hand painted daisies? Rut roh! Now we know why we are here! We gotta turn this ugly blue canoe into a work of art! Hand painted daisies on the outside, beautiful daisy decor on the inside. It seems Daisy's lack of daisies is resulting in her high blood pressure and its a matter of life and death! This whole thing was nuttin' but a scheme! Concocted by Delilah and Lou to make Daisy's wishes come true! Bring daisies, all kinds! And lots of em! White for the outside, colored for the inside! Let's get this done, get on with our tea and bid farewell to the likes of these three!! Now don't get me wrong, these are real nice folk, let's just do what they say so Daisy won't croak!
If you are allergic to daisies, don't have any around, don't worry 'bout what you lack, we got your back! Just bring something nice for the inside of the boat and come through the back with it under your coat!
Teapot Tuesday Destination Station #119:
This week's destination is not really The Amazon! Whew! It's the
Lighthouse Hospice in Austin Texas. We will be providing Bonnie Connor, the Chaplain there, a supply of beautiful handmade cards to give to their Hospice patients to brighten their day as well as to lift the spirits of family members who are overwhelmed by caring for their loved ones! Lydia Fielder, our SCS Community Manager aka
(understandblue) met Bonnie at a shoebox swap, told her about our teaparties and thought we might like to share our wonderful cards with Bonnie's patients and patient's families.
For more information as well as the address of the
Lighthouse Hospice, please see
Post #152 on The Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread, should you decide to send your challenge card to Lighthouse Hospice. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it
does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is strictly voluntary.
Here is
my card.

Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? I am posting a sneak peak (tea peek)
on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it a couple days after the Tuesday Challenge is posted. So, be sneaky and get a jump on the other tea-potters! Snort!
