I thought of a fun challenge for everyone. It's a musical challenge. I will give you the name of a song along with a few lines of the lyrics. The challenge will be to make a card to go with the song. Are you up for the challenge? I do not know if SCS will allow me to paste a link so that you can listen to the song, so I ask that for now, if you don't know the song, you go to your favorite music website and listen to it there. Let's have fun with this. Please go to the challenge forum page and look for the current weeks musical challenge. Usually the most recent will be towards the top.

Hello everyone. I am posting this weeks song early because Mothermark (host of the Teapotters Challenge) had a special request and needs our help. She knows a fellow stamper (Kim) who's mum has cancer. Her cancer is terminal and she could really use some kind words and support. Normally Mothermark would have the players of her challenge send their creations to mum, however, she had already requested that the cards go to someone else that also needs a kind word. Therefore, I am asking if you would consider sending your creations to Kim's mum. The address is below. Now the song for this special request is "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler. A few of the lyrics to this song are:
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.
The challenge is to make a card that "sings" the song above. Please make sure to use the keyword DDMCC01
If you are interested in sending your creation to Kim's mum here is the address:
Lily Murray
1/47 Bayswater Ave.
Bayswater
Auckland 0622
New Zealand
Please note the number for their place is written as 1 (than a line /)47
Mum loves elephants, flowers, all birds especially owls.
Thank you so much for playing this weeks musical challenge and a huge thank you to those of you that send your cards to Mum, Lily. Now I must go make my card. I wanted to get this posted so Lily could get the cards coming asap. Thank you all again. We all know stampers have the biggest hearts!!!! Don't foget to have fun with the challenge.

Good Morning, I really had fun making this card. Not only was it fun putting together a creation that goes with this week's song "Wind Beneath My Wings" but I also really enjoyed making this card because I know it's going to Kim's mum. I truely enjoy making cards for people that need a kind word, and support. I hope ya'll will consider sending your creations to Kim's mum as well. Thank you again for playing this weeks Muscial challenge.
Thank you for catching that. Yes, New Zealand goes on the bottom line. Lily is going to adore your card. You did a nice job on it. I'm thinking I might keep Kim's mum on for another week. Hopefully we can get the word out and more people will come and play. I'll be posting this weeks song later on today. Thank you so much, both of you, for playing. I know Kim's mum will appreciate it too.

Kim, you are very welcome. I hope all the cards put a smile in your mums heart. Please know she is in my prayers. I do hope you find time to come and join in on the challenge sometime. Hugs to you and your mum.
Yay!!!! Ladies we did it again. We put smiles in Kim's mums heart. Kim sends a huge thank you to all that played last week. She said her mum is loving the cards. Remember...I'm keeping her as an "open destination" which means anytime you think of her...feel free to send her a card. If you need the address let me know.
Woooo Hooooo!!! It's Saturday which means time for a new song. Is everyone ready??? This one is going to bring out some awesome creations.
The song for this weeks musical challenge is Chain Of Love by: Clay Walker. Here are some of the lyrics.
You don't owe me a thing; I've been there to
And someone once helped me out
Just the way I'm helping you
If you really want to pay me back
Here's what you do
Don't let the chain of love end with you
I truely need to find out if SCS would allow me to add a link so ya'll can listen to the song as well.
As far as this weeks destination. Please pm me for the address. I am asking that you consider sending your creations out to a person that has just gone above the call of duty as far as being there to help out others. This person is a vital link to the chain of love. I'm sorry I can't post who it is...it's a suprise.
Trust me, this person is going to LOVE receiving your creations. I will post the persons name once I know she/he has received some of the cards. So please...don't break the chain of love. Let's send out a ton of love. Don't forget to use the keyword: DDMCC02
Stop!!! Ladies, please do not post your cards here. It was brought to my attention that I should start a new thread for each new weekly challenge. I am super sorry for the mess up and for the inconvience. Here is the link to the new thread. Post Here
