Interesting - am I the only one who thinks it is odd that testicular cancer's color is 'orchid'? You'd think they'd pick something more manly since this is one of the few cancers women can't get. Soooooo many types of cancer, zero cures, so sad. I hope someone can figure how to beat this with less invasive and debilitating procedures someday soon.
Orchid is the Latin root word for testis and is commonly used in medical terminology for diseases and procedures involving the testicles. I'm not sure that the cancer color association came from this...but maybe so.
