I started my blog in 2007, only posted once, then picked it up in 2009. I'm trying to be more consistent, and I know a blog group would help me. When I blog I post either cards, other crafts, or photos/stories about what's going on in my life. The stories are more a way to post pics, which motivates me to practice my photography.
We'd keep it simple... the only rules would be to:
-post on your blog at least 2-3x/week
-check in on the other group member's blogs weekly
-leave comments/constructive feedback if the person wants it (I do)
I'm open to having challenges if people want to post them.... maybe we could use the sketch challenge here on splitcoast???
I would love to be in on a blog group - I love having visitors to my blog & can take all the feedback I can get, it helps me grow! I will subscribe to this thread and see where it goes! Thanks
I'll start following you.. we can post here for now when we update our blogs. Once we have a few more people we can set up a sidebar on our blogs, too.
Yeah so happy we are getting more people! I think a post at leat twice a month would be good for a minimum and I really like the idea of a blog hop - have seen them done, but never been a part of one. I try to post at least once a week on my blog - some weeks are better than others.
Well, some weeks I do almost daily updates and others it might be once or twice a month but my blog is where all my projects end up. If y'all would be willing to have me, I'd be glad to join...
I see a few people have already started to visit my blog and commented. Thank you so much. It's nice to get some visitors and encouragement every now and then. I took some time to return the favor.
I also wanted to let everyone know of a project that I'm going to try working on. You're welcome to join me, if you want.
One of my motivation problems right now is that I told myself I was going to use up my old SU colors before I started playing with the new colors. But because the new colors are so bright and shiny and attractive, I'm left kind of hanging in this gap of not knowing what to do with the old stuff, but not wanting to crack the packages on the new stuff.
I've decided tonight that to solve this problem, I'm going to start running through the old SCS Color Combination Challenges, starting at challenge #1.
I don't want to revive REALLY old threads, so I'm not going to post in the Challenge forum, but I will be posting on my blog. If any of you have the same issue around using up old paper, you're welcome to join me.
Hopefully this will also give me something to post on my blog regularly so that this blogging group has something new to look at on a regular basis.
I'm off to do my first combination and get it posted.
Tania - you can put my real name down next to my blog name in the first post. My name is Heather.
Jade is my online identify, created many years ago when privacy was important. It still is, but I'm okay if those who are going to frequent my blog know my "real" first name.
I like your challenge idea. My one quandry is I think I got rid of much of that cs. I know I have some Apricot Appeal and some Green Galore. And Gable Green.

I am not sure if I have any others.
Can we sub some others?
Sure you can. Might be a great way to start combining the new colors. Personally, if I come across one that I don't have a color for, I may have to make the decision between substituting or skipping the challenge. It will depend on what I'm missing. But I'm still posting the color combination so that if anyone else wants to do it they can.
Hello- I'd love to join this l ovely group if there is still room. I update my blog pretty often, and I love to share, as well as gain inspiration from others. ;-)
I would like to join . I am for keeping it simple, post and leaving comments, sounds like a good idea to do the challenges that are already here at Splitcoast, that will help keep me motivated..

I was worried b/c I haven't been able to do any crafting for a bit. Busy weekend with a nice bit of family drama thrown in the past few days. I plan to get everyone listed on my blog in the next few days!
