WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY AND CHALLENGE #111
IT'S THE FAST AND THE FURRIEST!
AREN'T YOU JUST A TAD BIT CURIOUS?
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you!
Before I get started with the story, I have a request. From time to time I like to communicate with the teapotters (aka ~ anyone who plays in a Teapot Tuesday Challenge). You never know when I might have some important teapotter announcements. If you would like to be included please email me at [email protected] with your email address and I will add you to the Teamail Group!
This is my story!
1. This is a very cute little teapot and I gotta tell ya, after last week's teapot, I love that its simple! Yay! I found the picture of this cute little doggie teapot on the internet and the minute I came across it, I knew it was the one to be featured this week. Not sure what his ear says, did any of your bring your glasses? I think it might say Mothermark! Snort!
2. Meet Brodie Layne, he's not a Great Dane! He's not a Chihuahua, a Lab, or a Poodle! He's a Sheltie who hangs with a Spaniel who corresponds with a Dingo who once knew a Boxer who lived with a Doberman who beat up a Terrier that went on a walk with a Pug who got a text from a Beagle whose boss was a Setter (a real go-getter), who hired a Retriever to assist a Collie in Raleigh to research, develop, organize, promote, and devise a marketing plan for the first ever canine street race called The Raleigh Drift. It's The Fast and the Furriest. Aren't you just a tad bit Curious?
3. It seems the Collie in Raleigh called a meeting with the Retriever under a tree down by the tennis courts which turned out to be a very bad move. The Retriever made a bee line for the tennis courts and was determined to retrieve all 42,000 tennis balls on the court. Just about the time he finally admitted defeat he came back to meet. And just before he collapsed from sheer exhaustion he managed to tell the Collie from Raleigh that street racing is done in a car, drifting is rounding a corner really fast and nitro is key. The race is tommorrow, the Retriever is toast, and his reputation and good standing is down the tubes! What would his great, great, great grandmother Lassie think? He has no clue what to do but here comes Mary Lou, the Shih Tzu! Now here's what you do said Mary Lou. Just leave it to me, I'm having a tea! I'll get everything planned, that Retriever should be canned! Who says dogs don't drive cars, we've got plenty of corners and dog bones are key! Now move outa the way, I can no longer stay, can't you see, I'm late for my tea!
4. We need man-power, I mean dog power! Bring dogs, lots of dogs! We need racing dogs, spectator dogs, mechanic dogs, dogs on a news crew, dogs in a pit crew. We need dogs that can drive, dogs that high five, dogs that love bones, dogs with cell phones! We need dogs to keep score, dogs to sweep the floor. We need dogs that are nurses, we need dogs who sell purses. We need dogs that are sweet, we need dogs that can tweet! We need dogs to write a book, we need dogs that can cook! We need a dog for the head of promotion, and a dog to control all of the commotion! We need big dogs on the porch, we need dogs who can carry a torch! We need a dog that can howl and one that chases fowl! We need dogs that can bark and dogs in the dark. But most of all, we need dogs that are furry, dogs in a hurry, dogs that are fast, dogs who will last! Dogs that are The Fast and Furriest!
If you bring a dog that is sponsored by Penske or some Nitro company you have to come in the back door and if you bring a cow named Curt (The Squirt!) dressed up like a dog selling nitro in a necklace you better not blow the joint up!
Oh, and this week I am offering extra points to satisfy the requirements of the City of Raleigh. The City's Event Coordinator has huge concerns about public facilities for this race. He wants to make sure that we all take a good look at the picture attached below to understand what might become a huge issue! To get around that little dilema you get extra points for bringing extra trees and fire hydrants, just so the lines don't get outa control and the City shuts us down!
TEAPOT TUESDAY DESTINATION STATION #110:
This week our destination is Raleigh, North Carolina. We are sending our doggie cards to Rachel Layne. Rachel is a long time, very dear friend of Linda
(zgirlsgranny) who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In the words of Linda...
"Rachel is a wonderful spirit. She LOVES dogs! She is so well known throughout the community because as she walked her own dog Brodie, she always took treats along with her and fed the other dogs in the neighborhood along the way. Unfortunately, she has had to give up her dog because she is no longer able to care for him. She also loves the kids in the neighborhood and kept many of them when their parents had plans."
For more information including Rachel's address go
here in Post #125 of the
Teapot Tuesday Destination Station thread should you decide to send a card to Rachel. Please remember that just because you participate in a Teapot Tuesday challenge that is combined with a card drive request, it does not mean that you are REQUIRED to send your cards. It is strictly voluntary.
Linda
(zgirlsgranny) has made her friend this
awesome sample card for today's challenge.
And here is
my card ~ The Fast and the Furriest!!
Here is a Quick Link to the
Teapot Tuesday #111 Challenge Gallery and our adventures with The Collie from Raleigh, Marylou, The Shih Tzu, and Brodie Layne, who's not a Great Dane!

Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? I am posting a sneak peak (tea peek)
