Hello everyone!! Are you ready for something fun and simple....well, this is the place!!! We are going to use lace as our stencil and do a little sponging!! How easy is that???!!!???
You can use the lace as the stencil to create a background, layers, scallops, or a background for a sentiment....what ever flips you skirt!!
Couldn't sleep so I got up and got going at this. This was a lot of fun once I got the right piece of lace. I tried 3 different laces until I found one I could ink through. The final one was a battenburg coaster. So here is my "Lacy Wreath"
Another fun technique, Joan! Great tutorial too. I don't have any lace on hand, but plan to get some in the near futre since I LOVE the effect you got with the fine lace. Thanks for another wonderful challenge!

Here's my card. Thanks for this challenge, it was a new one for me.

Finally after 3 different laces I found one that worked for this. Whew! I played with colors too and came up with this one. I also cut one of the flowers from the lace and added it to the card. Thank you for challenging me. I also added some shimmerz to the card but it doesn't show up well. TLC290 sponged lace by angelsparkly - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I had to share...after doing my card, I took my lace curtain into the bathtub and sprayed it down with Simple Green. I lightly scrubbed and then rinsed with cold water and all of the ink came out. I was really glad. I love that Simple Green!
Great card Joan, besides sponging you can also use glitter with your lace. Take a piece of sticky paper. Put your lace over it. Pour fine glitter over it, rub gently to make sure it is well covered. Pull the lace off. Use a soft brush to brush off excess glitter or gently tap card. It is a beautiful technique. They show it at the scrapbook expo.
