Let`s face it. Food is associated with so many celebrations including summertime! From ice cream trucks making the rounds to the picnics we held in our backyards.
So my challenge to you is to make a CAS card (no more than 2 layers, please) showing some food related thing that reminds you of summer and tell us why.
Don`t have any food related stamps? Think outside the box on this one! Eating popcorn watching a movie, barbeques, hot dogs and hamburgers, cotton candy, popsicles....you get the idea! Could be from your childhood or something you do now with your own children or grandchildren! Idea...picking fruit or vegetables, canning, etc. S`mores at the beach, toasting marshmallows,recipe cards. And please above all...have fun!
So what may you ask is a honey of a summer have to do with foods? Well I spent many a weekend at my grandparents house. I was always fascinated with my grandfather and his beehives! The bees never stung him and he could be covered with them! Not only did we have fresh honey and comb but the bees were used to pollinate crops ( a practice you can see here in the fields of NC ) which we enjoyed all summer! Everything from all the berries to crunchy and juicy veggies. Some of the best days of my life!
