I love the idea of using the QK magpie storage! I have one that kinda floats from one use to another so I may have to try using it to store my distress pads. I currently have mine all in a plastic bin similar to the really useful boxes that lock. It fits six stacks of about 4. I put a stack of paper towels on top just to fill the space and catch any leaks if they occur because I turn the whole thing over and store it in a drawer. That way they are stored like they should be but I can flip it over before opening the box and not worry about the lids coming off. To do this, though, you do need a box that fits the number that you have so they don't toss around.
