WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY AND CHALLENGE #103
WHAT SHAPE ARE THE TARTS? DID SHE SAY HEARTS??

Note: Anyone is welcome to play! Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun!

This is my story!

1. Hearts, hearts and more hearts! We have certainly had lots of people with big ole hearts participate in Destination Station over the past few weeks, sharing the love! That's probably why Teapot Tuesday caught the attention of Hattie Heartfield! Hattie has always been a lover of all things heart. She has a heart shaped house accessorized with heart shaped decor, a heart shaped swimming pool with a big red heart at the bottom of the deep end, heart shaped windows, heart shaped flower gardens and a heart shaped mailbox! She sleeps in a heart shaped bed in her heart shaped sleep mask in her favorite heart jammies! She wears heart shaped jewelry, has a heart shaped purse and the soles of her shoes are hearts, just in case if she walks through a puddle she can leave heart shaped footprints! If you turn her upside down, put her on her head, and look at her from the backside, she even has a heart shaped body! Snort! She caught my attention when she drove up in her litte white V-Dub with pink, red and purple stenciled hearts and heart shaped headlights (She had to special order those!!)

2. You can see why she started her business, Hattie Heartfield's Tarts from the Heart! She has become world renound for her delicious tarts by catering various celebrations and special engagements. She has recently been contracted (a huge honor) to supply tarts for an extremely prestigious art gallery premier for none other than Leonardo Da Heartci (a distant relative of Leonardo Da Vinci) who specializes in none other than Heart Art. Go figure! It's wicked expensive, priceless actually, and you guessed it, it's hearts in heart shaped frames!! Hattie was thrilled but is now beside herself with worry because a family member had a heart attack (what else would it be?) and she won't be in town to pull off this gig not to mention she wanted to buy some of Leonardo's art! She has to leave the planning, preparations and execution in the hands of her cousins, Bart and Bogart Notsosmart!

3. Bart and Bogart are the betting type! They make their living betting race horses! What are the odds they would mess up this very important event? Well, let's just say it would be a lucrative wager! When Hattie gave the boys specific instructions they were a little distracted by their race horse, a 42,000 to 1 long-shot named Attack from the Back. He was not attacking from the back! What's up with that? He was getting his butt kicked! By the way, did I mention they don't make alot of money??? That they are Notsosmart?? Once again, since they don't have to stand in line for their winnings, they are off to Hattie's to plan, prepare and execute. Did she say she was paying us? What shape are the tarts? Did She Say Hearts??

4. No worries, Teapotters! Bogart (he is the smartest one!) made a mental note when she told them what shape the tarts should be. He used simple word association to remember the shape. And of course, the words he associated, are the names of the race horses who kicked Attack from the Back's butt! Their names were, A Diamond in the Rough, Heart's Desire, Spade Runner and My Lucky Clover. What do you think Bart? Spades? Clovers? Diamonds? Yeah, Diamonds! That's what I think too! It had to be diamonds! Didn't she say there was going to be alot of very important, wealthy, and sophisticated people there? Sounds like a diamond studded affair to me!

5. You guessed it! Bring HEARTS, HEARTS, HEARTS to the Teaparty!!! Because obviously there are not enough hearts in Hattie's life to convince Bart and Bogart Notsosmart that it's not Diamonds but Hearts!! Oh and by the way, if you bring diamonds to the teaparty, you have to come in the back door, along with Attack from the Back!! He's thinking about not being a race horse anymore! Wonder if Curt the Squirt has an employment idears???

Special note! We getta eat all of the diamond shaped tarts as we sip our tea! Woot!

TEAPOT TUESDAY DESTINATION STATION

Make sure you glue those hearts down good girls because our challenge cards (if you chose) have some traveling to do. New Zealand is a long way off but surprisingly, you will be amazed at how fast cards get there! And the postage is suprisingly not that much more! What's that tell you about the U.S. Postal rates! Yikes! Who lives in New Zealand? You guessed it! CrazyKim! And its her daughter (Georgia) that needs a little cheering up?

I'll certainly have to make time to fit this in along with the DTGD challenges. Not that I have much stuff by way of hearts in stamping stuff, but at least it's an easy shape to work with
I had my tonsils out when I was little too, so my card will definitely go to Georgia.
And I shouldn't think Curt needs any ideas - that teapot almost looks as if Mutnik had drawn it herself already!

Well, let me introduce myself. I'm MariLynn and I know it has been forever since I made it to a teaparty. You might have forgotten what I looked like. Tuesdays have turned into my busiest day at work so I haven't had time to play for several weeks. The only way I can play today is I started this card last night and it just happened to fit with the theme of today's teaparty. I made my stained glass card using my own drawing. I think Cindy's teapot kinda looks like stained glass too. Here is my card.

I was able to combine CC280 with the dessert option in the creation of Georgia's card. Although you can't see it very well, I popped up the main panel and some of the glittery hearts. I found some rhinestone hearts in my stamping stash so I'm really sending lots of hearts her way. I hope she enjoys a little bling coming her way. Hugs, Trish

I just realized that the card was supposed to be "Get Well" card, so I removed the birthday greeting and swapped it out for a get well greeting.

To all you wonderful ladies -- you truely are all ANGELS - all of you -- If your cards come to Georgia I know she will be so thrilled with them all. I am so blessed with both my children - they are such loving and caring kids -- Georgia will be 12 in Aug and is being so brave with all the pain she is in. Her tummy is an issue at the moment because the meds keep making her sick. So a phone call to the surgeon this morning and more meds on the way to stop all the other meds from making her sick. So not only does she have the sore throat but she keeps being sick and that is more pain. I wish I could take it all away for her and have the pain myself. I totally messed up my first attempt so now I'll just take my time and try not to put the 2 sided tape on the wrong side of my card and stick it to the coffee table for the second time! of course the minute I heard about everything she owned being heart shaped her cover was broken! Hattie Heartfield, or, Queen of Hearts I know who you are. I also recognize those cousins as the 2 who always bet on the chess game in the garden. On a serious note after I found out the age of our recovering patient I decided to send her the card I made for yesterday's Technique challenge which also had a heart on it. The sheep move back and forth and she'll get a kick out of it. I'm not sure how to link to cards here so make sure you check out the inside of this card, it's really cute.
