Hi, alibry! I just participated in my first VSN in May. To answer your specific questions, you don't need to sign up. You just visit the VSN forum on the date of the VSN. Challenges are posted by the hostesses every hour on the hour. You can choose to participate in none, one, several or all. There is no cost, other than the cost of any supplies you want to purchase ahead of time. Before the May VSN, a list of supplies to have handy was posted about a week ahead of time. No need to RSVP - just visit the VSN forum on that date to see what's going on.
