Are your chalks and pastels languishing in a drawer like mine? Today's the day you're going to want to pull them out and get busy for this challenge. Chalks are such a fun coloring medium to play around with. I love their soft dreamy look and there are quite a few techniques you can try with them making them quite versatile. You can even color with them by picking up their color with a blending pen. Whatever you decide to do with them, I hope you'll join us today for the WT279 Chalk it Up challenge.
Please remember to put WT279 in your keywords section and post a link back here. We'd all love to see your work! As this challenge is about getting you to create and providing inspiration, please link only newly uploaded projects to this challenge. There are no time limits so have some fun!
Oh, I use chalks all the time! I got some boxes of broken pastels in work years back, and I love using them .
Off to see if I can come up with a new-to-me way of using them.
Thanks, Julia.
WOW!!!! I had to try this with make-up, as we don't carry chalks yet...We will shortly, as they are on order. But, it seems to have worked just as well, and has the same properties! Here's today's submission
Great Idea Julia. I was looking at my chalks and thinking it's been a long, long, time since I've used them. I will have to remove the ton of dust on them, thus forcing me to CLEAN, something I HATE to do before I do the challenge! Never mind, I'll just forgo the cleaning, it may add something to my image! LOL

Wonderful challenge, Julia! I wish I knew where I put my chalks. I may be stretching things a bit, but I hope it's ok that I subbed Chalk Inks. Here's my Quilled Bouquet. Thanks so much for looking! I'll be back later to view and comment. I'm off to meet up w/ some fellow SCS'rs. Fun!
Oooh. I love chalks. I hope to get to this today, but I've been on vacation all week and had some goals that I haven't reached yet. Today's the day for those. I'll be back later.

that's what I used on some of my cards....I LOVE all the variety of shades and colors of eye shadow; and it was a bargain that I got 8 in one compact....
Great challenge. I'm pretty awkward with chalks, not having used them much. I can't play this week though because I scheduled too many things at once, and my calendar has imploded in upon itself. LOL! The gallery submissons look terrific. So many talented people here! I'll try next week.
Val
Here's mine. It took all day because I'm so tired. Thanks Julia.

Since I had to make a good sized piece for the watercolor part of this card, I made 2. I have no idea how to get the 2nd one here, but it should be right next door to this one.
