I know "patience" is a virtue, however it's been a tad over
24 hours since I attempted to join the forum for SU DEMO's only - -
and I know I'm NOT suppose to email her or PM her and ask - -
so I thought I would post it here - -
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? LOL, I'm sorry to ask this and I printed out her
rules and such, but just curious. And yes I'm a SU DEMO - - joined last month during the stamp pad special.

It depends entirely on how busy Britta is and when she can get online -- she's a teacher, a mom, a wife, a moderator, and a demo! She's here a lot, though, so it probably won't be too much longer! ;)

Well it took about 2 days for her to respond to my request and now I am still waiting to be accepted. Sent the info she need about 2 days ago. I have been waiting about 5 days so far. Hopefully soon though..

hello, I am a first time demonstrator too. I am going to be having my first workshop next week and am very nervous. I have actually only been to one demonstration myself, so i don't know any techniques. My upline lives in another state and has been good to me, but I feel that the products in the starter kit don't really provide me with enough to make a good workshop. With no ribbon, brads, or any accessories- its just paper, stamps, and ink. Anyone got good suggestions only using those materials? I checked out the challenge using limited supplies, but even there you can use accessories.

I'm just new to SCS and it's a fabulous site. Think I goofed by trying to join the Demos. I thought it was to learn new techniques - I'm not a demonstrator. Oh well, live and learn. Good to be here.

i am like you are mrosetwin. i havent stamped very much yet. only been to 1 work shop before i singed. my daughter is who i signed up with but we dont live close enough for her to teach me often enough as id be comfy with. she is going to give me some ribbons and fun things next time we get toghether. until then she said to use strips of leftover card stock like it is grow-grain ribbon. she evne said if i run it along bakc and forthg over teh edge of a table for a few minutes it will become more flexible like the real ribbon. but i hyavent tried it yet. enough other basics to figure out.

Howdy!
I'm pretty new to SCS as well! Im loving it here so far!! I cant wait to get to know all the "regulars" and learn from them! I'm also a new demo. Ive been signed up for a little over a month! I had my first workshop and it went really well. Total sales were $1000.65!!! And I've signed up 2 demo's under me!!! I'm VERY excited about how well it's going! I just hope I can keep up the momentum!!
I'm excited to get my FOUR free stamp sets for acheiving my stampin start goals! I wish I could earn more.. cause Im only about $100 away from the $1500 goal!!
I have gotten tons of ideas for layouts to do at workshops from the SCS gallery! I plan on setting up my own gallery album to share some things that Ive done... but want to get through the millions of posts on this forum first! Hope to talk to yall soon!!!

Your upline can call demo support and get your ID for you if its been processed so that you dont have to wait. She will know thats its been processed because it will show a new recruit when she signs into the website with her own ID. So have her call and check it out for you!!!

New to SCS and New SU Demonstrator
I am new to SCS and I suppose I am sort of a new SU demonstrator. I became a SU rep in June, but have only done 1 workshop and it was with another new demonstrator, mostly to get our feet wet. Haven't done much since, except ordering stuff for myself to meet my quota!! I am excited to be a part of this site, there are so many great ideas in the gallery!!
One question I have is, I am set to move to Okinawa, Japan in January and am wondering how easy it will be to continue to demonstrate over there. If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hello, I am just an ex demo who is an addict to this site and my hubby just paid my fee so I wouldn't be "cut off"He felt sorry for me, since this is really one of the only sites that I really go to that is worth a squat and he said Honey it is going to be a long winter" I was going bananas already not being able to see the daily cards for a few days!!!eeekkk! But I have a question..Is anyone else having problems getting the pictures to appear on screen? I thought by having limited people on line was supposed to fix the problem?I don't have the best eyesight lately so when I click to enlarge the picture, I wait and wait and it never finishes loading. Are you all having these problems also?I love this website. It just rocks!!I have never seen so many cards made with same set of stamps and all the cards look so different.I am not a drinker or smoker, so I think the money spent of the fee was worth it as long as they get the bugs out of the sytem so you can use it like you are supposed to.Oh the demo thing..I was my own best customer!!So I just quit selling it and started buying from someone else.Nice to meet you all.Cheri Mello ;-)

I'm a joiner
I have used this site on occasion, but needed it badly with customers wanting ideas for stamp sets in the Holiday Mini Catalog and with SU not having any ideas yet on their Showcase! SCS said, "Show us the money!" and with reservations I did. I hope I'm not dissapointed!

Thanks for the welcome. I'm actually a SU Demonstrator and have visited SCS many times before, but I guess I never did the correct key strokes to be identified or recognized before now.
I'm really excited to be in the midst of such wonderful creative people. In fact, I feel like a little child who has been let loose in a candy shop!!!!!! Where do I begin?
Thanks again for your warm welcome and advice!

I have a quick question. I'm very new to stamping, and this site. (but love it here, so far!) I have only been to one SU! workshop, but will be having one of my own this weekend. Do you have any advice on what I should have on hand, and what to expect. I'm so excited about getting started. I have been scrapbooking for years, but haven't used stamps, yet. Watching DIY "Scrapbooking" was my inspiration, for getting started with stamps. Any ideas on what I should purchase first?

Hi, I am pretty new to SCS, I joined the Fan Club...........it is worth it!! Also, I'm waiting to get together with one of my local SU demos to order my starter kit! I'm excited & nervous. I was wondering if there is a list of favorite stamp sets out there that are versatile until I accumulate more sets? Any advice? Thanks!

Another Newby
Hi all,
I belong to many craft message boards, but this one really caught my creative eye! I am not a distributor, but have been considering the possibility. I work full time and don't know if I would be interested in making my stamping/scrapbooking hobby another job, but I would love to be able to help my stamping friends get their supplies, not to mention be one of the first to see new products and techniques. Are there others out there that are a distributor to support their own crafting additions?
Thanks!

Somewhat new to SCS
Greetings to all. My name is Lynn, and I am somewhat new to this site. I have been stamping since February 05. It doesn't seem like a long time, but it turns out I've tried a lot more than I thought. I made a card with just my pastels and a stamp from "Angler". It turned out really well. ;)
If you are looking for unique embellishments, I suggest a fishing store. I know that it sounds weird, but my husband suggested it a few months ago, and I have found the most unique items to add a little pop to my card. I never would have thought about going to an outdoor/fishing store, but give it a try, you never know what you find.
I find it really interesting what I now find can be used on a card. I haven't tried scrapbooking yet, maybe after I have kids. No real purpose until then.
I also want to thank everybody who has submitted cards, as they have given me many idea's. Sometimes wish people would put the steps they used so that I could learn the technique. Could somebody tell me where I might place my own card creations up? I would like to share some of my creations with others.
Have a great day

More than just Hardware
I agree with Lynn (love your name darlin') in that you never know where you will find interesting embellishments. Don't forget the hardware store: I've found a ton of tiny trinkets to use for cards AND scrapbooks. Where have YOU found interesting embellishments? I'd love more ideas of where to look.

If you are looking for unique embellishments, I suggest a fishing store. I know that it sounds weird, but my husband suggested it a few months ago, and I have found the most unique items to add a little pop to my card. I never would have thought about going to an outdoor/fishing store, but give it a try, you never know what you find.

Hello,
My name is Jennifer and I am new to SCS as well as a new demonstratorto SU. I have been stamping since Feb 05' and became a demonstrator soon after. I am addicted stampping, I love it! I am a 28 year old stay at home mother of two. My oldest is my son Joseph who will be 8 this December, and my baby girl Ashley turned two this past April. My kids love stamping as well. They love to make cards, even my little one gets into it. I hope to make some new friends.
