Default Liquid Pearls

Are there any tutorials or does anyone know of any other uses besides making the the little pearls on cards using this product? I've searched the internet but haven't had any luck. I was wondering if anyone ever tried using it the way you would a paint?

yes there is another use for liquid pearls, you can use your stamp pads i prefer tim holtz distress pads take your acrylic block you use for your stamps and dab your pad on it creating a puddle of ink, off to one side put a dab of liquid pearls. now adding a little at a time you are creating a paint which you can use to paint your stamped images. hope that helps.

That's interesting. I'll bet it creates a pretty paint. I'll have to try that. Thanks so much for your response.

Default another use.

I have used liquid pearls as a paint with my water color brush. If you thin it out a little and paint it on, it gives the shinny transluant look. I like to use it over colored pencil designs. It brings them to life and dries in a matter of about a minute. Much faster drying time the when just using it as a dab here and there. I started this spring using it in class beacuse it dries so quickly in this fashion that is adds to a project and not to a messy blob it touched before it is dried. Everyone in class is in such a hurry that it makes my life easier.

Thanks. I'll have to use this technique too. Sometimes the images colored with pencil just a need that little something extra and this sounds like it's just the right touch. I noticed you're near Buffalo. I'm in NY too but WAY down State in Suffolk County on Long Island.

What great tips. I am going to give both a try. I have some that may dry up before I ever make enough dots to use it up. Thanks.

Default Purchase Pearl pens

We've been looking for these pens at a retail store near the Akron/Cleveland/Brunswick/Medina areas and haven't found them. Where are you getting your pens?

Susana's Custom Art & Card Design is where I purchased the Pearl Pens, Paper Pens and Glitter Liner Pens.

Happy Shopping.

BTW..Love all of them. The Pearl Pens make perfect half pearls. They don't "sink" in the middle like some of the others.

Liquid Pearls is made by Ranger. It is dimensional paint that comes in a jar similiar to Sticklels. It is an acylic paint.

Didn't SCS used to have a place to do bulk buys on things? This would be the type of product where we could save some shipping if enough people wanted in.

I'm not sure exactly where you live, but I believe Archiver's has the Liquid Pearls. I bought some around here but I'm not sure exactly where, it's been awhile. Definitely they have them at Stamplistics but that is in Amherst.

Have you checked Hollo's? Not sure if they have them, but they might because they have lots of other things like that.

MillieMadeIt - That's the only place I've seen them also, THX! According to Viva Decor Hobby Lobby will be selling them but they haven't arrived at ours yet.

I see Michael Strong is going to be selling the Viva Decor Pearl Pens soon, his store is online-only.

http://www.susanascustomartandcardde..._pearl_pen.php has them for sale in a large variety of colors. How are these different from any other gel pens? Just wondering since I already have gel pens.

LorraineBK: Watch the video at this website, it's very clear. The pens 'drop' a rounded shape on your paper and it stays in that shape - just like the adhesive pearl drop embellishments that you would purchase. It does not spread or sag in the middle (like my cupcakes!)
