Title: Watermarks

Showers mean water and water means watermarks. While they may not be pretty on our suede or leather shoes, they sure look nice on our cardstock! The challenge is to use watermark ink, aka Versamark, on a project! Versamark ink is "clear" so that when you stamp, and the image dries, it shows up a shade darker than the cardstock color. This is called "tone on tone stamping". Versamark is also very sticky and great for heat embossing with powders. If you choose to emboss for this challenge, only clear embossing powder...no colored embossing powders allowed! CLEARLY we can have fun without them, hee!

You know, this is something I did a lot of when I first started stamping, but I'll admit, I haven't done it in quite a while!!!! And the photo of this card is shocking!!! Sorry!!! Here's my sample:
I know they have made some new ones that have a pretty shimmer to them, now if only we could get those watermarks on our shoes to shimmer, we'd be in business, ha!

Well done Cav! So quick. I also used to do this a lot but haven't done so for a while. There are bad storms predicted here in NSW for this afternoon and tomorrow. Hoping all today's challenges will be done before the freaky weather hits!

Well, I made a VERY simple card with one image and one sentiment, both with Versamark on the piece of the kraft cs left over from a previous challenge. I really want to do something else to it, but am afraid I'll ruin the simplicity of it. This was my second effort - as the first one, with clear emb. powder didn't turn out. I think I'll take a break and upload some photos so you can see what I'm goin' on about.

Here's my Simple Faith card. I have to remember to use this technique more often - especially when I'm in a hurry to get a card sent out. Thanks Kelly.
