MMTPT91 ~ SADIE, MY LADY! THAT'S JUST A TAD SHADY!
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY AND CHALLENGE #91
SADIE, MY LADY! THAT'S JUST A TAD SHADY!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun!
This is my story!
First off, I should tell you I won't be at the teaparty today! We are traveling to Minnesota to my mother in law's funeral. I will see your beautiful cards when we get back!
Daisy, Daisy, Where did your petals go?
I'm half crazy, stessed over my big show!
I won't be the winning entry
the Gardener of the Century!
But I'll be given that crown
if the teapotters come to town.
and bring petals in trade for tea!
1. Isn't this a wonderful teapot for the Softer Side of Teapot Tuesday? I love the softness of it. Being the Softer Side of Teapot Tuesday, our cards this week will have a purpose if you so chose! And check out Betty's Color Challenge and Dessert Option today too! We are combining challenges again this week. On with the story...
Do you all remember when we saved Ladybug Loulabella Rockafella when she was kidnapped by the Bug Thug? Well, Aunt Sadie came to town to help in the search and it seems she never went back home due to the beautiful surroundings of Ladybug Loulabella Rockafella's New York Estate! Aunt Sadie is a prize winning Daisy Gardner. She has won countless Gardening Titles mostly for her ability to grow the largest and most beautiful Daisies in the land!
2. Aunt Sadie is desperate, stressed and down right beside herself! The most prestigious Daisy Gardening Title is being awared in one week! Big HUGE Gardening Show and her daisies have no petals! She knew just what to do after having seen the heroics played out by the teapotters when Ladybug Loulabella Rockafellah was rescued from the Bug Thug!! She has summoned us to bring her petals! The rules are they have to be home grown by the gardener but at this point, she simply can't worry about that! She can't be worried that she didn't grow them, that they might be made of paper, cardstock, silk, resin, metal, or paper mache! Heck knowing the teapotters, they might not even be daisy petals! Someone might actually bring weeds! Yikes! Well, what can I say except that what will be will be and in my opinion...
Sadie, My Lady, That's Just a Tad Shady!
3. Sir Pluckapetal! She wants this metal! Sir Pluckapetal lives up the road and is dating Aunt Sadie. She has no clue that Sir Pluckapetal is responsible for the missing petals! You see my teapot friends, Sadie is consumed by Daisies, she is madly in love with them and not him! He spends night after stinkin night in the prize winning daisy garden, alone, surrounded by darkness, plucking petal after petal, at least 42,000 of them! She loves me, she loves me not, she loves me, she loves me not! Oh why, oh why, can she sometimes be such a snot!!!
Duh! Pronounce your boyfriend's name slowly Sadie My Lady and you might not need the teapotters help! But, Shhhhh!!! Don't say a word! We had a blast the last time we were here and were treated like, well, like we were Rockafella's! And we get along good with the Ladybug types, so nobody tell Sadie about her boyfriend's night time activities! Promise? Cross your teapot heart!
4. Our mission is simple. Bring Daisies and lots of them. And if you don't have any daisies bring sumthin' that resembles a daisy. Sir Pluckapetal is just gonna pluckem anyway! And if you are hard of hearing and thought I said kettle, yeah, you can bring your tea! Have any daisy pj's, a dress or hat? Bring THAT! But, if you are feeling onery and bring back a Bug Thug who will give the Rockafella's a fright, you just might have to come in the back door at night! And now the rest of the story......
The Softer Side of Teapot Tuesday!
Many of you are familiar with Roseanne (Sumtoy) a cherished member of the SCS community! Roseanne has sent countless cards to others in their time of need. She is very active in the Need a Lift forum and its our chance to thank her and pay her back for her kindness. To give your Teapot Tuesday card a purpose and keep your petals from the clutches of Sir Pluckapetal read Roseanne's story. Thank you all!
I have help this week with two great sample cards!
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT91 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? I am posting a sneak peak (tea peek) on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. I usually post it a couple days after the Tuesday Challenge is posted. So, be sneaky and get a jump on the other tea-potters! Snort!
If you are confused about these challenge, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges

Sir Pluckapetal better watch his step! Aunt Sadie is a friend to Mother Nature and a Guard bug (a ladybug) and a sentry bee have been dispatched to guard Aunt Sadie's prize daisies from Sir Pluckapetal's meddling petal plucking! Maybe he should make an appointment to see Brutus the Bunny's therapist!

Reason: correction
I'm making an attempt to link my upload but I'm new at this so it may fail. Anyway, Martha Stewart has got word poor Sadie is petally challenged and wants to come to her aid. She is sending Sadie her daisy (Mum) punch so she can make as many petals as she needs. In good spirit she has made Sadie a door hanger with extra petals for her use.
And here is the story:
So Flo the florist heard about Sadie's plight, and although she does question the ethics of Sadie's plan, Flo loves Sadie (or maybe all of the flowers Sadie orders from her). Flo is senting on the best of her daisies from the shop in a pretty blue bucket. Hope it helps!
Ok, here's my daisy card. This is a prize winning dinnerplate daisy -- so big and beautiful that Aunt Sadie is sure to win a prize, and even if Sir Pluckapetal pulls off all the petals, Aunt Sadie will still be left with her scalloped dinnerplate with the star rhinestone center....and there's also my trained attack lady bug who will leave behind a trail of red dots on anyone who touches the flower (if you look close, you can see the trail of red dots the lady bug has left on the leaf -- and there's some on my fingers too!)

A big welcome to the crazy, wacky, and creative world of the Tuesday Tea Potters. Sure makes Tuesday the most fun day of the week. I know mothermark usually gives out a big welcome, and there is no way I can take her place, but at least can let you know that we are glad to have you.
Much better second card for Sadie because... It actually has daisies this time! Not "pretend these are daisies" but REAL DAISIES! I know, I'm way too impressed with myself. Here you go, Sadie: With a Daisy this time! by #1volunteer at Splitcoaststampers
Oh I'm so glad I got to join in the tea party this week! Ahem...I just hope I'll still be allowed in (the front door) next time! ;) Here's mine: GERBERA DAISIES
I may be late but I am earlier than my usual weekend arrival. I am on a vacation day from work; and Monday too. I'll be doing a little bit of household work, and errands but mostly stamping and scrappy fun is what's in store for me. Some women need retail therapy, I need paper therapy. LOL.
Anyway, here's mine Five in One
ps I'll be back after errands to see teapot cards and read the stories.
Late to the tea party as usual, but I do have a card to share, although it is on my blog and not my gallery . . . I cannot upload it today, but will tomorrow.
Can someone PM me the address to send it to? Thanks ladies!
MMTPT91, CC268, TLC271 by JD from PAUSA at Splitcoaststampers Here's Jill's card late again. I was away last week, and did not have my stamp supplies with me...(Is that a good enough excuse?) smile.
I just realized that in my card description...I commented about part of my card being missing...which is for this week's card...I think I am a bit confused...then again, I am always a bit confused...
