VSNMAY10MINIE~FRIDAY, APRIL 23RD 10:00 P.M. EST~June Brides~
Title: June Brides
Hostess: Gingerbeary8 CarolH
Keyword: VSNMAY10MINIE
Day/Date: Friday, APRIL 23RD
Time: 10:00pm EST
If April Showers, Bring May Flowers, what do June Bride's Bring?
A January bride will be a prudent housekeeper,
and very good tempered.
A February bride will be an affectionate wife,
And a tender mother.
A March bride will be a frivolous chatterbox,
Somewhat given to quarreling.
An April bride will be inconsistent, or forceful,
But well-meaning.
A May bride will be handsome, agreeable,
And practical.
A June bride will be impetuous,
And generous.
A July bride will be handsome,
But a trifle quick-tempered.
An August bride will be agreeable,
And practical as well.
A September bride will be discreet, affable,
And much liked.
An October bride will be pretty, coquettish,
Loving but jealous.
A November bride will be liberal and kind,
But sometimes cold.
A December bride will be fond of novelty,
Entertaining but extravagant.
I bet you didn't know all that did you!!! No matter when, where, or how a woman is married, there are always pictures taken of her on that special day as a tribute to mark this momentous occasion. I love looking at all kinds of vintage photos of Brides, especially through my own families keepsakes. Most of these have been preserved in frames of various sizes, shapes and materials.
My challenge for you is to make a "Bridal Shower" card or project using the folded picture frame technique. You can find a tutorial for this wonderful way to frame your image here.

I have noticed some of the key terms begin with VSN (A, B, C, D) and some begin with MAY (AA, E)- are they not uniform this month? Just curious, I want to make sure I use the correct ones.
Ok Carol.....This one kicked my backside!:p
I will make one of these again sometime when I have the right type of pop dots. Thanks for the challenge!!!
Thank you GingerBerry8-Carol for a wonderful challenge. I took one look at that frame last night and thought I am not doing that one, it looks to hard. This evening I took a look at the tutorial and was surprised how easy it was! Thank you for making me
s t r e t c h!!
Here's my card! I can't believe how easy this folded frame is. I don't even have a Scor-pal, I just used the other method Beate shows in the tutorial. Anyone who has never tried to make one should really give it a try. You can make the basic frame in just a few minutes, punch the corners of the flaps and add some other embellishments, and presto you have a really impressive card. Thanks for the challenge -- I'm so glad I gave it a try! I love cards that make the recipients say "Wow! How did you DO that??"
I really enjoyed this technique. So much, I made two versions of my card. Unfortunately, I forgot half the challenge and made birthday cards instead of wedding card.
For what it's worth, here are my two card for this challenge: Birthday Pair
