You are welcome to stay . . . have fun! *smile*
This poem was found on an Angels' Memorial in my hometown. I thought it would be great for a photo montage of children playing, whether as a framed gift or on a scrapbook page.
Through the Eyes of a Child.
By Myron Spencer Davis.
The Lord put hope and wonder in a child's wishful eyes –
The hope of sun-kissed mornings bright with possibility,
The wonder found in daydreams and in chasing fireflies –
The promise of tomorrow and how happy it can be.
The Lord put sweet nostalgia in a child's laughing eyes
To bring our thoughts to simpler times and days of way-back-when,
To memories of backyard swings and favorite lullabies,
To help the child inside of us to come alive again.
The Lord put pure contentment in a child's trusting eyes –
The peace of mind that comes from being innocent and free,
A love that knows the sacredness of friend and family ties –
We have the eyes of angels when we see what children see.
