Default How I made my purse

I've had quite a few requests for direction to make this very easy purse card.
Easy Purse
I've attached a photo of the pattern. I don't know how to make it a pdf. I hope you can read it and it will work for you.
Make a regular card with the fold at the bottom. On the top open edge, measure in 3/4" from each side and make a mark. Then cut a diagonal piece off from the edge of the folded part to the mark on the open edge. Then for the flap, I cut either a circle with the coluzzle or a rectangle which I glue about 1" to the back of the card and then trim it in line with the previously cut card so it will be smaller when folded to the front. I used the rectangle punch on the fold line to thread the ribbon through. I glue it to the inside, then glue a rectangle that measure 3-3/8" x 4" that you have used the word window punch to leave a slit for the gift card. Oh heavens, it sounds complicated, but it really isn't.

If the pattern is too small for you to read the measurements, right click on it and copy it, paste into word or printshop and you should be able to enlarge it enough to see clearly.

Thanks, Karen. Your message helps me out. Another question--what does your inside of the card look like? I an trying to visualize the inside of the purse. Would the gift card pocket rectangle have the same height as the purse and the width of the rectangle be a bit smaller than the purse on the sides because of the angle of the purse that has been cut away--is this right? If so, do you use a contrasting cardstock for the gift card pocket than what you have used for the purse insides that show? Would you be willing to send a photo of the inside of your card?

Does anyone know of a template I can use to make a flat paper purse for an invitation?
Thanks for replies!
