Why didn't you tell me you were from Wisconsin?!?! LOL. jk. ;)
I'm here... In good ol' Oshkosh. Born here, lived here most of my life with the exception of a short residence in both De Kalb, IL (to hook dh), and Wheeling, IL (to reel him in)... lol!
Wausau here. And this is not what Wisconsin weather is supposed to be! And no, I will not be missing it this winter when it's 20 below. Because I can always add an extra sweater. But there's a limit to the number of layers you can remove before you get arrested.
I'm a cheesehead, too. Waaaay up north in Hurley, close to Lake Superior.
And I also hate this ultra hot summer we've had. If I wanted humid 90's I'd live in Florida (which I did for a year). Give me 65 or give me....umm...64.

I am in Superior, right on Lake Superior (actually St Louis Bay) and I too am SICK of this heat! 3 showers a day just to be comfortable is time consuming!
I live in Kenosha, I was born and raised a cheesehead! I grew up in Watertown! I went to college in MN and we lived in DH's hometown in ND after that, but have been back in WI for about 7 yrs. now and LOVE it! (DH and DS love WI and have both become total cheeseheads, DH loves the Packers and he grew up a Viking's fan!)
But this heat is too much! Suppose to be a 30 degree temperature change from Sunday's hot temps by Wednesday! Glad to hear it! No cool lake breeze yesterday, that was for sure!

I am not a Wisconsinite, but DH is. We just got back from a weeklong visit and I couldn't believe how hot it was. I was so looking forward to relief from the Texas heat. Imagine my dismay when I went to the Milwaukee zoo in 90 degree heat. It felt the same as my 102 degree Texas weather because of the humidity. Luckily, we got some rain in the middle of the week and it cooled down some.
I was born in West Allis, raised in Oconomowoc, and currently live in Waukesha.
Valentina9 - I am so jealous that you live in Superior. Hubby and I are actually talking about moving to Duluth. We really love Lake Superior. It is SO awesome up there!
I'm also from Wisconsin specifically Sturtevant which is in Racine county. I was born and raised here.
I'm not complaining about the weather though. Flew home from convention yesterday where it was 100 degrees in Utah, Denver was no better, Chicago was 104 and Milwaukee was near that too. Think the entire country is feeling this horrible heat. I'm excited to be home so I can stamp in my COOL basement using all the new techniques I saw.

I'm from New Richmond, just east of the Twin Cities, MN. We have had enough of the heat. My daughter called me at work this morning to say it was cold in the house! I said Thank Goodness! Don't complain. We may be able to sleep tonight! Those hot nights were awful. Our county fair was last weekend, in Glenwood City, and the poor animals were just miserable!
Osceola is just north of us. I have a friend here at work who grew up there and lives in NR now.
We're headed to Milwaukee on a 4-H trip next week. Is the zoo as wonderful as I remember when I was a kid?

Stampinonthefarm ~ Yes, the zoo is still great! Have fun in Milwaukee!
This is so awesome that there are so many WI stampers on here!
Go Packers! (Sorry, mini hi-jack I can't wait to see them start playing again, I don't want summer to end, but I miss the Pack! Especially Mr. Farve ;) )
I'm in Oconomowoc, right between Madison and Milwaukee. Such a fun name. Glad to hear there are so many stamping sisters in this great state.
And about this heat, it helps us appreciate the beautiful fall that much more! (Go Packers!) I grew up where there were no four seasons.
Stampinonthefarm, we recently visited the Milwaukee zoo, where we got to see stingrays, and even "pet" them. VERY COOL. I could have stayed there all day, but the kids wanted to move on.
I am in Wisconsin too...Kenosha to be exact. DH and I were both born and raised in Appleton, both families are still there so we are up in that area often. We both went to school at UW-Madison (GO BADGERS!!) and landed here after college.
I actually have a cousin and a very good friend in Kaukauna. Heard a funny story about someone who thought Kaukauna Cheese was an exoctic cheese from Hawaii!
Nice to know there are other Cheesehead stampers!! There was a thread recently about a gathering in the Fox Valley area...have any plans been made? I would like to join you if I am available!!

Cheryl,
The Zoo in Milwaukee is just great!! We took our grandkids a few weeks ago. Even though it was hot, they have lot of places to sit down. Walkway thru the woods and building with ac. We had the best time!

Woo hoo!!! The first pre-season game is in... well... 17 days (see below ;) ) hee hee.
I'm here in Sun Prairie too! I was born in Wauwatosa, spent 10 yrs in Minneapolis after college then moved here a little over 2 years ago. PM me to see if we're neighbors!
