What is CAS?
CAS is an acronym for Clean and Simple.
There are different ways people view CAS. It is very subjective. There is no list of rules that will fit everyones personal definition. The following are possible guidelines, only. Please do not feel afraid of playing in the CAS challenge or debate with yourself if youve created a CAS card. If it is a CAS card to you, put CAS in the keyword box.
1. Clean: the design is uncluttered with lots of white or open space. Simple: having a clear focal point without a lot going on to detract from it.
OR
2. simple in design regardless of the number of embellishments or how long it takes to color, stitch or to use a special technique
OR
3. can be copied and mass produced fairly quickly usually without a lot of coloring, layers, embellishments, tools and/or techniques
Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows: One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Got to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Youre done!

I have been away from the challenges (and stamping) for so long, I dunno if I can remember how (new babies do that to a gal, lol) but will give it a go, after I try to go back to sleep...thanks for the challenge!

Would you believe I bought the Pretty Petals Background stamp right after I saw this tutorial for the first time because I loved it so much? Thanks for finally giving me the push to CASE Beate's card Jen!
ETA: The thumbnail in the gallery shows the wrong card (last week's CAS challenge card), but when you click on it, it shows the right one. I suppose this will be corrected in time.
ETA: The card disappeared all together, so I uploaded again. I appreciate all those comments that many of you left the first time around!!

I have never done a cas card before and never tried thumping....
I am going to give it a go and see what I can create. I was inspired to learn about this from my Kota Sistah Dianne.....
Thanx for the challenge, sounds fun!

I've not tried thumping before - not the inky kind of thumping anyway! Thanks for another great CAS challenge and for getting me to try a new technique!
I'm on the old dinosaur computer and I finally got my photo program working. Actually, I didn't do anything. When I came home from work, it was like it magically decided to work.
So long since I've done this technique...thanks Miss Boo for reminding me of it! CAS THUMPED TREE
