MMTPT63: Saving Ladybug Lou-La-Bella Rock-a-Fella!
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY AND CHALLENGE #63
SAVING LADYBUG LOU-LA-BELLA ROCK-A-FELLA!
This is my story!
Ladybug, Ladybug, Ladybug Lou-la-Bella,
She's rich and she's powerful, an original Rock-a-Fella!
She's been taken, been snatched, Oh, poor Lou-la-Bella!
By a thug, a big bug, he's ugly and yella!
Her mom is so worried, will he just try to sella?
She's written a note, just to tell Lou-la-Bella...
Don't worry, sweat pea, I'll have a big tea!
Invite lotsa friends, save the day, you will see!
Attention All Ladybugs! You're Invited to Tea!
Your trip will be free! A reward you could see!
We'll have biscuits and triscuits, cookies and cakes!
Homemade honey and candy, at much as it takes!
And when you're all full, so happy and fat,
We'll save Lou-la-Bella, squish that thug, Ooh that RAT!
1. Bring your ladybugs girls! We're headed to a Country Estate in New York to save Ladybug Lou-la-Bella from the clutches of a bug thug! We've been given a mission and should we decide to accept it (after tea and treats!) the more ladybugs that show up the better chance we have to over power this Bug Thug! Ladybug Lou-la-Bella Rock-a-Fella has boo-koo muhla and just might reward us generously! Be brave, but be bad, and believe me be beautiful, cuz this ole Bug Thug just might be a ladybugizer!
2. Are you wondering why we aren't saving Ladybug Lou-la-Bella first? Well, this is a tea-party! Besides, the teapotters work better energized before a big job!
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT63 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
Here is a link to my Teapot Tuesday #63 card.
Here is a link to the MMTPT63 challenge gallery and Our Adventures in Saving Ladybug Lou-la-Bella Rock-a-Fella!
Ever want to get a jump on next week's challenge card? I am posting a sneak peak (tea peak) on my blog each week showing you a glimpse of the following week's teapot as well as a hint of the story! It's at the end of the Teapot Tuesday Post each week. Be sneaky and get a jump on the other tea-potters! Snort!
If you are confused about these challenge, see Post #1 of this thread for more information as well as a directory to individual challenges within the thread!

Mothermark.... I need to find the rest of the teapot challenges on your blog, right? |
Hi Garnet!
Yes, here is a link to all of the teapot challenges. You should just be able to scroll down from page to page to see them all.

Don't ya just hate it when you write a big story and then it doesn't go? I have learned to copy it before I hit send so that if something doesn't happen, I can re-paste it in! Happened to me more than once!
Off to see what you did in the islands! Snort!

MM, your comment about tulips stuck in my head. For some reason I thought there were tulips hidden above the lady bugs. Oops. I think I'm gonna' miss the mark again this week. Sigh. It's too late to start another one, so my card may be for a future tea party, but posted for this one. Yikes!
Back door for me again this week ... but then again, there sure was a lot of fun at the back door last week! |
Hey, M! How did you know the Bug Thug is hiding in a patch of tulips???? Once we have our tea, those tulips might just be history as our troups of ladybugs emerge on this yella bug thug!!!
Remember, there are no rules.....if you were moved to tulips, so be it! Snort! You are a good back-door-er! Snort! You notice i spend a lot of time there!

Anyone else having trouble? I am getting paranoid and think it is just me... What I really think is the thug of a bug is blocking my card because he is getting scared.

Well, I'll be anxious along with you as I CANNOT wait to see your newest creation, MariLynn!
Wish I could be more helpful on the upload thing, but I uploaded early this morning West Coast time with no troubles. Although, I did have to upload multiple times this weekend with my cards for them to finally go through. It's possible that SCS may still be working out bugs from the new servers. Wouldn't want to be them!

MariLynn, I feel your pain! Don't know what is going on, but I definitely think today's tea party bugs got into the system! I posted a second card hours ago,and it still isn't in the gallery. So glad yours finally posted, as it is too cute!

OMG!!!!
I had to work today, but still got 2 challenges into one card. I was worried when I saw the color challenge, because there was no red in it. But I looked thru my DP supply and found some purple ladybugs
Here's my Ladybug Teaparty
Thanks Cindy for a neat TPT challenge

I just have to share this fun little poem that Marilynn left on my teapot card today! It says it all!
Loulabella, do not fear.
The teapartiers are here.
We have rescued froggies and rescued snails.
We have solved clues and made cards noone could mail.
We have caught fish,
Helped cows fulfill their wish.
We have had parties catered by cats.
We've had garden parties where we needed hats.
We've been to London to visit the Queen
and almost everywhere else between.
I know that we can come and rescue you...
Just watch out for that Giant SHOE...........

It's chaos here today -my bathroom's being demolished and it was the first day back at school for the staff (who are very needy on the first day!). But, despite not being able to find the stamp that I wanted to use (somebody tell me that this happens to other people too please!) here's what I did.

Swat Team
I stayed up too late last night and cannot come up with a story. So let's just say that this ladybug is not only coming for the party, she is Lieutenant of the SWAT team. her weapon against the Thug Bug is her enormous size. "Out'a my way you thugs. I don't have time for any nonsense."
Two views:
Ladybug
Ladybug w/wings open
I had made a bunch of ladybug cards, long, long time ago. So when this challenge came up, pretty much made the same card, but bigger. Started with a 5" circle instead of 4".

Well, where have I been? I saw this challenge thread yesterday and made a card last night. It took me awhile to even find a ladybug stamp - I finally found one in an old CTMH set that was in the rummage sale bin!
It got to be late and I didn't take a cpic of my card yet. When I get home from work this evening, I'll snap a pic & upload it.
Oh yeah! I subscribed to both this thread and Mothermark's blog.
Update: Here is my ladybug card. This was fun!

I had no idea...
... no idea that so many gals would like my big ladybug. Here are the instructions for the smaller one I made years ago. She is in my gallery somewhere and will fit in an A2 envelope.
The BIG ladybug I made on Tuesday needs a 5x7 envelope.

I think the problem with Mothermark's basket has something to do with a critter with BIG feet. Perhaps it's a bear?
I love riddles... and that's just what this sneak peek is.

Looks like paw prints on that basket. Funny thing, Cindy, you collect teapots, and I collect baskets! Maybe I'll just take a picture of one and make a card out of that! LOL! (BTW, I collect angels too.)
